What about the place where the grass never grows? Full of water again?
Very full of water. And I'm not about to convert that to a permanent Superfund site by burning toxic waste on it.What about the place where the grass never grows? Full of water again?
Didn't that already happen? You could start a burn pile. I'll contribute.
Had a burn pile years ago...but a house sits in that spot now. SGI uses the property as his personal dumping ground for plant/garden/landscape waste but he tries to hide that back in the woods.Didn't that already happen?
Heard he pooped back there on occasion too.Had a burn pile years ago...but a house sits in that spot now. SGI uses the property as his personal dumping ground for plant/garden/landscape waste but he tries to hide that back in the woods.
Hey... I don't put human/animal waste into the compost pile!Heard he pooped back there on occasion too.
I don't ask.Heard he pooped back there on occasion too.
Being the big-hearted generous-to-a-fault feller that you know I am, I hereby give you all of that old gas. You can refine it in to a product to sell and augment your retirement income.Serious tho.... could it be filtered and enhanced with octane booster to make it usable? Or add a ton of alcohol to it and sell it as E-85? There's so little gas in E-85 anyway...
Probably 60 gallons...but unfortunately some of that is still in a tank I need to empty and I've run out of 5-gallon containers. We pay a company to pick ours up every once in a while. I know this doesn't really help, but I'll get the contact info if you don't come up with a better solution. How many gallons do you estimate as of today, @Gilligan ?
Uh...gee. You're so kind....Being the big-hearted generous-to-a-fault feller that you know I am, I hereby give you all of that old gas. You can refine it in to a product to sell and augment your retirement income.

Thanks. The gas I'm dealing with is beyond saving....some it was probably 10 years on when I drained whatever it came out of. Nasty stinky brown stuff.. If its not completely gone, we do mix it in with fresh gas to run my old Case backhoe/loader. But heck..I probably put a total of 20 gals through that old machine in a busy year. For your consideration ...
There is this product that been said by others to be able to renew old gas, though not its primary use or claim; PRI CP123 G Gasoline Treatment.
Plus, you could also use it rather than throw it away by mixing a 50/50, or less, with each fill up of your vehicles, and/or mix 1 gallon to 10 gallons of diesel.
We have some poly drums out back that we get our antifreeze in. That's what we store old gas in between pickups. They make good test tanks for outboards, too. The boss probably wouldn't miss a couple, if they were to go missing this weekend.Probably 60 gallons...but unfortunately some of that is still in a tank I need to empty and I've run out of 5-gallon containers.
I have several poly drums already set up for used oil and antifreeze...and a company that comes when I call to pick both up free of charge when they are full. But I don't have anyone that would take old gas for a reasonable fee and didn't want to set up another larger holding tank until I've figured this out. Shoot me the details on the outfit that picks yours up.We have some poly drums out back that we get our antifreeze in. That's what we store old gas in between pickups. I imagine a lot of people miss the old days when you'd just dump the old gas off the dock.I have several poly drums already set up for used oil and antifreeze...and a company that comes when I call to pick both up free of charge when they are full. Shew. Musta been REALLY old days because I'm 64 and don't recall ever seeing anyone dump old gas overboard. Not saying it didn't happen, but...I imagine a lot of people miss the old days when you'd just dump the old gas off the dock.
