Old gasoline disposal in St. Mary's?

Shew. Musta been REALLY old days because I'm 64 and don't recall ever seeing anyone dump old gas overboard. Not saying it didn't happen, but...

Watched the old guys here in Culvert do it more than once in more than one place-off the dock, in the street, in their driveways to kill weeds. Lots of places and times.

In a bug sprayer it makes great weed killer.

Weed kill is good.
Also, mixing insecticide concentrate with gasoline makes it flow into ant and termite mounds better.
Did that with fire ants when the Mrs. and I were stationed at Eglin AFB, FL.

Back when I was a kid and lived on a farm way out in the boonies....it was all dirt roads probably 10 miles from pavement....we and other farmers saved all our old engine oil to dump on the road.

The town did that on the rock road beside my parents house up to 1984 when that road was paved. My grand pappy changed his oil then threw it on his pond to keep the skeeters down.

Spent many days of my "formative years" as a young late-teens party miscreant hanging out in North Beach back in the 70s. We had use of a small cottage in Holland Point...and "make use of it" we certainly did. ;-p

Where in the heck can we dispose of old gas? I've paid fuel polishing companies big bucks to remove it from larger tanks on boats but I need to get rid of a bunch of 5 gallon cans full...

Mix it with 50W and apply it as rust prevention with a Solo backpack sprayer.
