I'm with Beta on this one.....I started to type the exact same thing but saw he had beat me to it. It's nice to see a familiar face every now and then, but I am trying to eat a meal, not conversate with every Joe, Bob, and Sally in the place...

what does local pride have to do with wanting to eat a meal without knowing everyone in the joint? and no, i don't have any pride for this area. it's just where i currently reside. there are times when i want to converse with more people but that's usually when I'm out drinking. So if I want an experience like that I'll go to Cheers.

ding! i saw some people i knew this weekend...it's always nice to see friendly faces but it kind of distracts you from seeing the people you are there to see. you have to say hello to everyone you know or you're being an #######.

Quit kidding yourself. Your not that popular. I'm kinda surprised you have enough friends to fill one of the small tables at the restaurant.

i have just enough friends where if i am out with one of them for dinner then i have the possibility of running into the other one. :dance:
