So I have been making my own pizza do for about a year with mixed results each time. It's good most of the time but I can never seem to make the perfect dough. I use a bread machine.

Last week I was at Walmart and in the deli section above there huge pre made pizzas they had Raw pizza dough in plastic bags. I didn't check price just said to the family,
" We have to try this."
My wife told me later it was .88c.

As soon as I opened the bag and smelled it I new this was better then any dough I ever made. It was great to work and shape. Stretched perfectly. The final crust was just like Nicoletti's!! Not Pizza Hut , papa john's or domino's but

!!!!!!Nicoletti's!!!!!!!

I recommend any of you who like to make pizza at home give it a try.
If anyone knows how to make it please post. I'm going gluten free after the holidays so it's my last good pizza until I find a gluten free dough but I don't expect to EVER.

We get it there or at Giant (giant also has wheat and maybe one other "flavor")

On fact, we just made some last night. We never order pizza out

Maybe they changed recipes, last batch I had was blah. It just didnt do it for me. The price is right though.

They also have the walmart brand mix which you just add your own flour and warm water. Easier to add herbs to give it a better flavor. Still prefer to mix my own, have refined the recipe over the years and am happy with it.

Would you post your recipe? I want to make one more batch with this good Italian flour I bought before I go gluten free

Not pizza dough, but went to Giant to shop last night, they have a CRAPPY meat selection.. so I had to go to Wal Mart for something else and decided to gamble.

Bought 4 Ribeyes and they ended up being the best steaks I've bought from any store in years. Tender, tasty.. and thick cut.

Their bacon wrapped filet mignons in the blister packs are great too

No celiac but I have had issues for yours that may be caused by gluten. After researching and talking to dr. I'm trying gluten free for at least 90 days

Part of doing Low Carb is also cutting out gluten, just a good side effect. Since I've started no more Tums.. used to carry them and use rhem constantly, now I can't remember the last time I used them..

If you make pizza at home a good investment is an oven stone. It's a flat piece of clay you put in the oven while it preheats. It makes a great crust. It's important that the stone is very hot before you put the raw dough on it. Closest thing to Italian pizza you can make at home.

Au contraire! Put your pizza stone in your Weber grill, or just use the rack:

That is the key to non-suck homemade pizza. :yay: The ONLY alternative is to grill it, like Ed said. Most people make absolutely reprehensible pizza, all raw and soggy in the middle, and this is the reason: they use a 9x12 pan or a cookie sheet, which is WRONG and should be against the law. Then, just to add insult to injury, they bake it at 350 or some nonsense.

But, how on earth do you handle the VERY HOT pizza stone without getting burned?
