You should have gotten the ASC option...it won't let you lift the front.

I was going to say it just stops the rear wheel from slipping... but it does so by comparing the speed of the front wheel to the speed of the back.. as soon as the front wheel starts to lose contact with the ground it should slow the rear wheel down.. What fun would that be?

It's all good Bob and maybe that's the case about not riding a smooth bike like yours because the only street bikes I have ridin are a Suzuki and a Harley so maybe I dont know what its like. I personally have never been off the ground on my street bikes, dirt bikes or four wheeler and not known it but like you say, maybe its the bike.

I guess the smooth comment should have come with a sarcasm smiley..

I can't really say when the front wheel came up, but it was a little while after I put it in second.. Someone on another board mentioned 5k RPM being the magic number where you're putting the max HP onto the pavement, and thinks that's probably when the tire lifted.

Still pretty cool, but don't want to do it again..... even if I can ride on one wheel all the way to work..

Get your new plates yet? Huh Huh Huh did ya get em did ya get em

I'd bust out laughing if we saw a "To the IDIOT who thinks fully dressed motorcycles are for wheelie poppin..." thread at any moment...

I've done it by accident on the 'Wing. You shift into 2nd and let out the clutch just a bit fast and whups! Problem is that with such a big bike, you're afraid to make any sudden changes! Once it's up there you don't want to let off the throttle and slam the wheel down, so you keep the throttle up and let it slowly come back to earth.......

That's why it was a surprise.. I'd been in second for a couple of seconds, didn't come up on the release of the clutch, but as I was accelerationg through the RPM's..

In another thread someone explained the same in third..

Just have to keep it in mind, and behave..

I have a wheelie handle. A little wooden handle on the right hand side......kinda like a barco lounger

ALways figured there were wooden parts on those bikes..

Do you have to prime the waterpump before you head out in the morning too?

THAT would be funny!

I have to behave now, the plates are on it, so everyone will know who the idiot on one wheel is..

I'm waiting for the programable stunts button. "Burnout, 100' wheelie, doughnut, etc.".

Gotta be one for that on the 'Wing here somewhere.......damn buttons..... still looking for the "wave" button....

I think I found the barcalounger lever Pete was talking about.... Ummm, no. that's the reverse handle.....
