THIS IS PRECISELY WHAT I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED IN MY BACK YARD!!

I was just reminded of this when I saw the new JCPenney commercial featuring a wooded area and giant ten foot tall bed with some kids lounging in it:yahoo:

How cooshy!

Now I'll need a bed and a tub in the back yard!! :lol:

Soooo, how difficult/expensive would it be to do this? Anyone ever done this before or am I the only weird one? :lol: Before I research this I'd like to get some people's info. :smile:

Is your basement finished ?

Unfinished = easier

finished = removal of ceiling and wall board to shower location ..... cost just doubled

Run pipes, a drain is not really needed ... but your should probably have a sump or drywell dug for drainage ......... if your house brick, a little more complicated add the shower but not much other wise a hammer drill or chisel is required .... otherwise some sort of concrete slab, patio stones, duck boarding over gravel ......

:snacks:

Call me retarded, but it has always been a dream of mine to have an outdoor shower. I was vacationing many years ago with family and the beach house we stayed at had an outdoor shower. Since then, I've always wanted one.

I still want one. We had one growing up at our beach house in S. Jersey where I grew up in my teen years. There were days when I would take a shower out there in the morning before school. Bliss. Sometimes I get the same feeling in my shower here when I open the shower window, but its NOTHING like taking an outside shower. It really isn't hard to make one as long as you have or can run H & C water outside, building a stall is no issue. I really don't know the cost but if you have a handy person and then $600.00 or so W is supposed to send us should do.

I say go for it!
