Overreact much?

Just like that. "We" do not want to abide by the Constitution because it's inconvenient, for whatever reason. "We" do not want our elected representatives to abide by the Constitution. If we did, we'd elect ones who were more faithful to it. And since this is supposedly a government "of the people, by the people, for the people" guess what? "We" make the rules.

What is amusing to me are the folks who yell and bawl about Constitutional fidelity, then in the same breath will say same-sex marriage should remain against the law. WOOT!

And, no less, want a Constitutional amendment protecting them from 'icky'.

The closest the Constitution comes to discussing marriage is to say stuff like that is the purview of the people and the states, not the federal government. "Icky" has nothing to do with it.

The DOI discusses not overthrowing government for transient causes. We may be reaching the point with our elected officials that their transgressions are no longer mild, where the point of the second amendment is clear. The beginning of the fall from the Constitution in my mind was the 17th amendment, but that's a different discussion.

I'm in a sour mood this AM so, let's make sure we're on the same page first;

The comment was that the constitution is what we say it is and I was agree with that.

I would agree that the Constitution is interpreted by the supreme court. The document doesn't cover every possibility.

From the article: "He is currently at a location known to law enforcement and does not currently have the ability to travel anywhere.”

If that isn't holding him WTF is? Giggle boy.

He could be in a mental institution where he doesn't have transportation.....he could be staying with his parents and due to his health doesn't have transportation....he could be on an island and doesn't have a boat. Do you have anything other than speculation that he is being held by law enforcement? I can tell you for certain there is ZERO information that he is!

Or...maybe he's an American Muslim and they saw your post so they decided to violate his constitutional rights.

But McLaw says they have it all wrong.

“Law enforcement has not tried to contact me, they have been misinterpreting information,” McLaw said.

In a phone interview from Sheppard Pratt in Baltimore, where McLaw is being treated, he says he does not need a mental evaluation.

“They have been disseminating information incorrectly to the psychiatrist and medical professionals up here who have been making diagnosis that, you know, are invalid and irrelevant,” McLaw said.

Sheriff deputies say the investigation into McLaw didn’t stem solely from his writings.

“Within hours we received information of perhaps an inappropriate relationship involving a student so we had some concerns,” said Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis.

The 23-year-old teacher is banned from school property. Investigators say inside of a shed, they recovered a handmade model of a school.

But McLaw says what has been taken as a threat is nothing more than a hobby.

“This entire situation is a complete, and total misunderstanding. And it is unfortunate that it has come to this,” McLaw said.

I once made a replica of the original St. Clements lighthouse, but I didn't blow it up, the Navy did that back in the 50's

If anyone has ever been involved in the involuntary committment business, they understand just how crazy this guy must be. It is almost impossible to get somone committed to a local hospital psyc ward, let alone Shepard Pratt!
