Packing for weekend trips

 Why live your life worrying about what some stranger you'll never see again thinks? Your husband probably won't notice if something you're wearing isn't perfectly color coordinated. Guys don't look at that stuff , we're to busy trying to picture what you look like naked.

Last month, I was talking with this lady in the hotel pool. She was telling me her husband was pizzed she'd brought 17 pairs of shoes for the weekend

It depends on who I am going with, and who I am seeing. If going to see my family I will just pack the bare essentials. If we go anywhere that I need to dress up, I will just go buy an outfit and shoes. Now a weekend with the girls like in June. Yikes I completely overpacked. I needed to bring various outfits because I had no idea what we were doing, and it was kind of cold than also.

Shoe wise I only bring a couple of pairs with me.
Summer: Flip Flops, sneakers, and dressy sandals
Winter: Sneakers, dress shoes & boots.

So my hubby is right, I hate it when he is right. I told him that I am not the only person that packs like that and he said That I am one of a few that do..
He is sitting here reading these posts and laughing at me. Telling me I owe him Because we made a bet that he would be wrong... I hate it when he is right... Great now I owe him...
Yep... I'd say you owe him a coke and a smile...:yay:

I overpack. I'm trying to break myself of the habit, but one never knows what one might need. This year I was forced to pack lighter due to lack of space in the car. I still didn't wear half of what I packed......

One way to cure you from over packing.. he should park about a mile or two from the hotel/ campground and make you carry your own bags.. You'll never overpack again. Nice 95 degree day.. lugging your luggage.. yep, that'll cure ya..

What in the world makes you think women pack for men? Or strangers?

Clue-in: When women shop, they try on a bunch of stuff and exclaim over how cute everything is - and not one single time will the husband's name come up. In fact, they are more likely to buy something because their girlfriend thinks it's cute rather than because their man does.

They have this new invention - wheeled luggage. Some woman came up with that so they could pack whatever they pleased. :yay:

:yeahthat: I've never dressed according to what some man wanted me to wear, including Dustin. Ask him. :lmao:

Depends on where I am going as to what I pack, but I admit, I stray into the overpacked category. I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I usually have a separate bag for shoes too.
