If you were asking me, I don't follow a "Religion". I follow a Spiritual Path that is based on personal growth toward becoming the the total being of light I was born in this time to be.

My reference to "Earth Based" means I don't pray to Any God, or believe in their existance. I do thank the Earth for the gifts that I receive, some what like the Native Americans used to, and some still do.

I don't believe she is a Goddess, just that this is my home, and as a species we abuse her so badly. So I do what I can to live Green, and appreciate all I am given, and the cost of it.

Not something I can Really explain in this type of setting. But we are all beings of light. We are made up of atoms. Moving atoms form energy. Energy creates light! This is the Very short version.

I believe there is a Universal Spiritial Energy that infuses everything. And one we gain a human form, we are to gain enough knowledge about love and self enlightment to return to this energy state. So 'being" is a personification of the idea. Not to be taken literally.

But positive, moving, growing emergy does. It is susposed to. That is the purpose. And most of this is on the entheric(sp) planes anyway.

I know I sound like some spaced out teen, but I am a 50+ woman, who has studied may current and old religions, as well as pagan systems. This is my version of the underlying theme. Simplified for public discussion.

When I pass from this earth., i.e. upon my death. If I have grown enough in Spirit and Understanding. If not, there is always the next life.

Basicly that's it. Each life is to learn enough to grow enough personally and spiritually to return to the Universal Spiritial Energy Force. If I haven't acheived this goal, then I shall continue on the human plane until such time as I do. We all enter the Human plane at different times, and grow at different speeds and levels. And leave when we are ready.

This is where you get past lives, your soul is eternal. It's your human body that isn't. Your soul may have been many thing in the past. But once it's been human, it will never again be a lower life form. But it may take many life times to learn and grow to enlightment. Or it may only take one.

And it is not the same for everyone. I believe that you can acheive this same type of enlightenment in almost any form of spiritual path or religion.

Q will always interfere, Rumsfeld will probably get away with it, the borg don't want to assilimate Us. And yes I have seen 2 ghosts. But they didn't talk to me. I was scared enough as it was.

I was there. I know exactly the thread you're talking about.


You asked if it was OK for people to speak freely of their religion or if it was a christian only forum. And about a half a dozen people chimed in about how the zealous christians were going to stomp a mudhole in all those who dare oppose our close-minded system.

And I hope that you made note that it didn't happen.

I've never seen it happen before, and it's not going to happen now.


I believe that I - one of the closeminded evengelical lunatics - even explicitly pointed out that I'd rather see a more eclectic discussion of beliefs here. I probably wouldn't participate in many of those discussion, but I think that I would learn a lot by reading them, and I'd certainly find it interesting.

And what I would NOT do - and what I don't think any christian here would do - is act disrespectfully toward anyone who sincerely wishes to discuss their beliefs with like-minded people in a stress-free environment.
