Pagan or earth based religions

I was there. I know exactly the thread you're talking about.

You asked if it was OK for people to speak freely of their religion or if it was a christian only forum. And about a half a dozen people chimed in about how the zealous christians were going to stomp a mudhole in all those who dare oppose our close-minded system.

And I hope that you made note that it didn't happen.

I've never seen it happen before, and it's not going to happen now.

I believe that I - one of the closeminded evengelical lunatics - even explicitly pointed out that I'd rather see a more eclectic discussion of beliefs here. I probably wouldn't participate in many of those discussion, but I think that I would learn a lot by reading them, and I'd certainly find it interesting.

And what I would NOT do - and what I don't think any christian here would do - is act disrespectfully toward anyone who sincerely wishes to discuss their beliefs with like-minded people in a stress-free environment.

So to you, and to the original poster in this thread :

Please discuss freely what you will.

Thank you.

I was raised in a Christian religion...don't have anything against it. Just grew to find it too limiting. I have studied many of the worlds religions, and have found such a strong common thread thru them that I wish the leaders of them would just admit that they are basically all the same. And create a Universal one so there would not be as many wars as we currently have.

At least if people don't have their religion to hide behind, they might actually think twice, or three times. I have to hope! :flowers:

I did not say I was bashed...I said all hell broke loose. No-one responded who actually seemed to want to have a discussion at that time. So I just let it drop.

Q will always interfere, Rumsfeld will probably get away with it, the borg don't want to assilimate Us. And yes I have seen 2 ghosts. But they didn't talk to me. I was scared enough as it was.

As for the Wrath of Kahn? I can't tell you all of my secrets now can I?

:killingme

Why are people scared of ghosts? I personally don't believe they exist, but if they did, why be scared all they can do is look at you.

Well, I've yet to hear of someone dying by supernatural means. If anyone can pull an autopsy report that says "scared to death" I might consider changing my mind.

Dancing Up A Storm
I have known sane - what I would call normal people - who have sworn they've seen objects such as dishes, cups, and cans of food come flying off of cupboard shelves, all by themselves.

Suppose a sharp knife flew off a counter and fatally struck someone.

Would that qualify as death by supernatural means?

Morning good people,

Just reread last nights postings... :blushing:

Guess I shouldn't post when I'm on pain killers and muscle relaxers. not that what I said wasn't true, just a bit garbled and not well explained.

The One ghost I've seen one on one, only scared me as in startled me. Not, OH NO, I'm in Danger. She was very gentle, and Protective.

The others were more of poltergeist events in some the housing units we've lived in over the years. And being sensitive to some feelings in certain places of tragedy.
