Larry, I'm just wondering. :huggy: Do you have sisters and were THEY given the same drinking liberties?

...and yep. One day older sis broke the rule and had two beers after school. Dad was...unpleased. For some reason, I spoke up and took the rap for her. She appreciated it. They'd been fighting alot and I didn't want her to get in more trouble.

NOW, wouldn't you be a little upset at the parents that hosted the party and then learned they supplied alcohol

...I would and, as I've learned more about the details of all this, I think they got what they deserved.

Update:

A former married couple sentenced to more than 2 yrs in jail for serving alcohol to teenagers at their son’s 16th birthday party have been released after 5 months behind bars.

George Fisher Robinson and Elisa Kelly were freed on parole Monday, said Kelly’s defense attorney, Francis McQ. Lawrence.

Lawrence said the pair was eligible for parole after only 5 months because they were charged with misdemeanors. Parole for felons has been abolished in Virginia, but is still available for those convicted of misdemeanor charges.

In most area jurisdictions, minors are allowed to drink in the presence of their parents. A Virginia law passed last year allows it. In Maryland, minors can consume alcohol in the presence of their parents at home. In the District, there is no legal exemption for parents to give alcohol to their children.

Justice Is Unequal for Parents Who Host Teen Drinking Parties

Makes you wonder what it teaches a child when you tell them I know your not 21 but you can drink while you are home????
