I remember the first time my daughter did that to her daddy - he was mortified! Of course, she was an infant giving open mouthed kisses!I didn't vote, because it's hard to say - I've never really thought about it. My daughter is 3 now, and from learning so in daycare is already requesting that I kiss her on the cheek! But sometimes she will still kiss me on the lips - and I think it's so cute!
For some reason I don't think it's cute to picture kissing on the lips as a teenager! Maybe that's because I can't imagine kissing my own mother on the lips!

I still kiss my parents on the lips. :shrug:
My sons are 23 and 12, the oldest kisses me on the cheek or on the lips (depending on how bad he pissed me off before he left to go home) and my youngest kisses me on the lips when he leaves for school and goes to bed. It still makes me think of when they were little babies and you gave them kisses to make them laugh. My nieces are 7, 4 and 5 months - and they kiss everyone on the lips with a squeeze the cheeks and kiss. I think its sweet. Both my sons still say I love you mom, when they leave the house or before they hang up the phone. Even in front of their friends!!!!
I can't remember the last time I kissed either of my parents?? Kinda makes me feel bad now. . .

My family is (mostly) German so greetings and goodbyes consist of a curt nod and brisk handshake.
My wife's family is Italian, so greetings and goodbyes consists of pinching, kissing, spinning, hugging, squeezing, slobbering, eating canollis, and talking about how uptight the ####in' krauts are.
