Honestly, Ben Shapiro has the best report on the situation - fair, unlike the MSM who joined the DNC chant that it's all the republicans fault.
Ben debunks a lot of the theories suggesting it was something other than an attack by a crazy guy, including calling him David on the 911 call.
First, David is a notorious head case, well known in the San Francisco area as a nudist, so him in underwear is possibly over dressing.
Shapiro believes that Pelosi was speaking so "his friend" could hear him and it would defuse the situation.
I wish I could find the video, it's a good example of what journalism should be.

I have to admit as much as I like Shapiro, he surprised me with his cogent, fair and reasoned analysis. I really expected an argument shooting the media AND police narrative all to hell, but he makes an intelligent case that this is a crazy person well known to be crazy and his beliefs are all over the place.
Frankly only myopic political types see only a political agenda when the sensible story is a crazy man who caught wind of yet another crazy thing to be crazy about.
Who's to say this guy was pi$$ed at Pelosi for not getting more done that the progs wanted.

You know, what the POLICE said - was ok. What the prog PRESS made of it - heck, one guy blamed JESSE WATERS - was ridiculous.
But not unexpected. Shapiro was right about that part - the prog press - meaning, most of them - immediately go to blame Republicans and hang a political angle on it, no matter what facts fall out. I did NOT know they've been doing this for decades, even going so far as to blame Kennedy's assassination on disgruntled Republicans - perhaps against civil rights (which I find - absurd. Civil rights NEVER passes without HUGE support from Republicans, because the OPPONENTS of civil rights were all Southern DEMOCRATS).
So if Musk and others claim oh, Paul Pelosi is a perv picking up some strange and a lover's quarrel ensued - who knows, but more plausible is, crazy guy - a man known to be crazy. Who has said crazy things about everything on the spectrum, left and right.
WE all jumped on the perv story, because the TIMING is right for the Dems.
But it won't save them. Massive CHEATING will. I fully expect Warnock and Fetterman to win, plus some other Senator they want to keep, because they have the ability to cheat. And Whitmer will keep her job. No, that, I expect. They won't cheat to do something unbelievable - like keep the House or win red seats.

I suspect that Ben Shapiro PROBABLY has it right - that most of the most basic facts are correct - and there was no more political motivation than anything else, because the guy is batshit crazy and thinks he's Jesus. You can blame right-wing press on the fact that SOMEHOW crazy guy heard that Pelosi was somebody doing bad things and deserved to be attacked - if you like - but you'd have to blame leftie press on the attacks on SCOTUS judges and an attempted assassination attempt.
On The Five they addressed this - again. When it's an attack on someone on the left by a crazy person - it's an indictment on all right wing. When an attack happens on someone on the right by a crazy person - well, it's just that one crazy person.
I WILL say this much - if the truth is discovered to be ANYTHING approaching the gay hammer attack story - THIS story will vanish fast. And it WILL also vanish quickly after the election - it has no power after that.

U.S. Capitol Police had live video feed at Pelosi home but didn't notice break-in: Sources
A source revealed to Just the News that the officer who was in charge of monitoring the feed didn't notice the break-in occurred until the flashing strobe lights from responding San Francisco police squads were visible on the feed.
Berkeley resident David DePape has been charged in the attack.
Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger said that the department is currently conducting a formal review of the incident but declined to provide further detail in a statement released on Tuesday.
