PCI Slot Problem

I have a Dell laptop.
There was a problem with one of the mouse keys making the cursor dive to the corner of the screen. Took it back to SMARTCO to get it fixed. Done. When I got it back, the PCI slot would no longer power up my wireless card. SMARTCO guy couldn't fix it. I want to try. Anybody with 'puter experience willing to help me (I've never opened a laptop before and don't want to break it)?

Funny guy you are.

Had to ask :lmao:

I don't know of anyone who works on laptops. Sure would be nice to know of someone who does. I do have one that is out of warrenty and supposedly getting a couple more old ones soon as well.

If you or someone else has checked all the software issues and know for sure it is hardware then your going to need a new motherboard. Opening it up will not fix anything. If you have to have it you could spend $150 to get a USB to PCMCIA adapter.
