Stop Staring!!!!!
Police & Fire being dispatched to the area on Rt. 5 by Ledo's Pizza. Adult male, struck by a vehicle.
1814: Medic ONE on the scene requesting a Helo. Advises Catagory B
1814: Southbound lane(s) of Rt. 5 being shut down.
1817: Helo may likely just land at the Hospital.
1817: Trooper 7 with the 12 minute ETA for SMH.
1818: Heard something about "RECON". I assume this is for the reconstruction.
1820: All southbound lanes of Rt. 5 are closed. Only one Northbound lane is open. More police units being requested for traffic control.
1822: Reconstructionist being requested. Pictures of the patient also being requested. Definate flyout for life threatening injuries.
1825: Police running the TAG of a possible witness.
1827: Southbound Rt. 5 still closed.
Ambulance leaving the scene with 1 Priority ONE patient for SMH. Trooper 7 also due at SMH in 1 minute.
1829: Ambulance and Trooper are both at the LZ @ SMH.
1831: Southbound 5 still closed. 1 Northbound lane closed.
1833: Units on scene advising Southbound Rt. 5 will be closed for "a good period" for the reconstruction.
1834: SHA being requested for lighting and traffic control.
1837: SHA has been notified and will be responding.
1838: Police trying to get access to the surveilance vidoe from the liquor store. Unable to get to it till the morning.
1840: Medic ONE advises Helo is enroute to PG.
1848: Most of the message traffic being passed at this point is being done via Cell Phone as it relates to the reconstruction. I'll try to catch it when they open the road back up and post for those who may need to know.
1908: I have heard no changed in the road closing situation as yet.
1915: Sheriff's Units are concerned that units supposed to be blocking traffic are messing up a bit. Cars are coming southbound in the northbound lanes on Rt.5 when they are not supposed to be.
1924: SHA is now on the scene. I guess they didn't come from Baltimore this time.
1934: Sounds like they are now going to divert traffic from the southbound lanes over onto the northbound lanes. One lane each way I guess on the northbound side.
