any opinions on which laminate flooring is better? What brand do you have and are you happy with it?
I installed a Pergo floor in my dining room and Kitchen about 8-9 years ago. It has held up very well and was easy to install. Pergo has lots of colors and options and is readily availible. Prices for the better grade of Pergo run around $2.97 per sq ft. This is for the thicker materials with the pad already attached to the back of each board. The material I installed before did not have the pad attached. You had to lay the pad down seperately.
Just Yesteday, I installed a laminate floor by Formica. Looks great. It was on sale at a local flooring outlet in Waldorf and was $1.00 a sq ft cheaper. It saved me $250.00 on this one bedroom/closet. Definately worth the savings.
I have never installed Armstrong so I really don't have an opinion there.
Don't be afraid to look around. Laminates are availible everywhere. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Depends on what "grade" you buy..in any of it. But we have this in two of our bathrooms and 2 bedrooms (and are going to put it in a third bedroom). Rest of the house is hardwood. I love this stuff.

Pergo- 6 years old- indestructable- the kid walked across it in base ball cleats until mom rung his bell- did not hurt it.
OK , I have decided on the Pergo for our laminate flooring. Now, my next issue is how to protect the floor when we put the gas heater stove back in the room . It is very heavy so I need someway to protect the floor from the feet on the bottom. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks again for any help you can offer.
