Philly Traded NcNabb To The Redskins???

Being a Philly fan I am not happy Mcnabb is gone but I understand why he is. The Eagles were getting old and we are trying to rebuild but still be competitive. Redskins have no offensive line to proteect Mcnabb he is going to get killed. Are you ready for some Football?

:bs:

You people have complained to high heaven about McNabb and now he's gone and we Skins fans have watched this like we always watch Eagles fans; like you fine folks are out of your gourds.

#5 has been, clearly, the best QB in the NFC East since Aikmans retirement. Who you want; Eli? Campbell? Brunnel? Romo? Bledsoe?

He's only 33. Elways was 34 when Shanahan took over in Denver.

The Skins have 3 good parts on the line, center and both guards. If Okung is actually that special, that's 4 and you find a serviceable piece at RT.

Portis is is gone, gone, GONE. If he's not, he sure as hell WILL be playing hard or sitting on the bench. So, can we get a decent vet o lineman for him?
Sure.

Zorn treated Thomas and Kelly as though they were infants and worried more about the precision of their routes rather than if they could make plays. Part of that worry was Campbell, because he's not an accurate qb. You think McNabb won't be throwing jump balls to Kelly in the end zone, that Thomas better damn well catch it because he's gonna get nailed anyway? I can tell you Santana is smiling.

As I have argued before, McNabb is not a TOP tier guy in terms of hall of fame but he is, easily one of the best of the last decade and he is in a small group today of elite, vet qb's.

So, Eagle fans, you need to find a new dog to kick. Now, you really got something to complain about in addition to being 0-2 against us this season for the first time in ages.

I could not envision the Redskins being any more than, at best, competitive in the playoffs maybe even making the championship game but, Campbell simply not being able to make plays when we needed it most. He's never, EVER done it.

We got a guy now who, if the o plays like crap for 3 quarters can still win games at the end.

HUGE plus for the Washington Redskins. I almost feel a song coming on.

Done deal.

2nd round pick and a 3rd or 4th in 2011.

I don't like this deal.

In context of a typical Redskins deal?

Good lord, two years ago Dan tried to give up two #1's for Ohnosinko.

We may well have a top shelf starter for the next 3, maybe 4 years. Absent this deal, we're looking at another 'don't #### up, Jason!' season or two or some rookie. I've been terrified we end up with Bradford who I consider a bust in waiting. I have no idea what people are looking at. Clausen is, to me, clearly, the better pro prospect.

It's still very amazing to think that the Eagles would trade McNabb to the Redskins knowing his leadership onboard the new team - in the same division - the NFL East , might just help the Redskins defeat them in the coming season.

What will Eagle fans say if that were to happen? 0 and 2 again?!?

While I can agree with some of your post, I cant agree with all.

McNabb didn’t have anything left to offer the eagles... Plain and simple

The organization isnt going to keep him around just because he holds all the eagles QB records, or that his sportsmanship is off the charts....

He had 11 years to produce a superbowl and he didn’t.

Maybe the Skins will help him get over that hump and put some energy and enthusiasm back in his game.

That is where you are wrong wrong wrong. I am one of the few Eagles fans that is not happy Mcnabb is gone. If you think Mcnabb will do well in D.C think again. Your offensive line couldn't block the Conn womens basketball team. Sometimes you have to move on but atleast we can say it ws a good 10year run unlike the skins last 10 seasons. :howdy:

McNabb is gone because year after year, it was the same thing...giving up and throwing short when we needed him to be at his best.

How many times can you watch him miss a WIDE open reciever only to gesture "My bad, my bad".

This move is 2 years over due, but I'm glad that the day finally came. McNabb was tired of Philly, and Philly is tired of McNabb.

I'd like to see him do well, I really would. When the man is having a good day, he's a joy to watch. He just hasn't have a good day in a LONG time.

Eagles fans already do this :bawl: and this :alkies:... Especially after the first round butt kicking we watched last year!

Yep, we know his weaknesses. Just let him throw it. It'll hit the dirt somewhere. :yahoo:

I think that is accurate. Time to move on.

However, that is not the same as saying he has nothing left for football.
