Pill swallowing tricks/tactics/etc.

I guess I am just extremely lucky here, kinda. I have just the opposite problem my kiddo LOVES to take pills. :ohwell: At three I was asking the doctor do you have any pills (and the chewable's were not acceptable, they tasted bad, go figure) she has been taking pill form of everything ever since. I have to say it is nice to just be able to give her an Advil, rather than worry about all that children's medicine. But on the other hand it is SOOO scary with like cold medicine and such, her pediatrician has said that "half of an adult dose" should be fine with just about anything, but cold medicine scares me!!.....

I had to learn how to swallow pills when I was 4 or 5. My mom told me to open up and she shoved it in the back of my throat, told me to take a drink, and voila, it went down!!! For the longest time, I had to put the pill in the very back of my throat in order to swallow them...no big deal now :razz:
