We went with the Henna Hickory in our bathroom and bedrooms. I have the real deal (red oak) throughout the rest of the house.

...has wood that is getting sanded and restained. I just want vinyl, I think, in the hall/foyer and kitchen.

If it's gotta be vinyl I think your floor guy is right with the star step. At least it looks like wood.

I did the hardwood laminate in my kitchen, dinning room and down the hall. The living room is going to get real hardwood, maybe next year. Oh BTW Larry, that laminate takes a beating. Dogs can't scratch it and drop something on it and it doesn't chip.

We have laminate, and it kicks our dog's butt on a daily basis. :lmao:
