MIR had some great racing on Saturday. My bf got the golden ticket to go thru onto the show on June 19th and 20th. I am sooo happy for him. His car dropped it's drive shaft at the start during time trials but he was able to fix it in time for eliminations. Track announcer had some smartass comments about his car but he showed him by coming back and doing well. How 'bout that roundy-round car on YOUR quarter mile. :yahoo:

He took an old Busch series (roundy round track) stockcar, made it street legal, and raced it on the straight track.

What were they looking for this time??? 9, 10, 11 12, second cars???

All of the above. They had a few classes. I can't remember all of them. I remember the under 9 second class though. My bf ran in the Stick ET class. He ran 12 seconds.

I have to order my ticket today. Saturday wasn't that packed because of the weather and Richmond but the guy who gave him his ticket said that it'll be packed that weekend. I can't wait.

Pinks All Out had the second highest draw for MIR -- behind last year's ADRL race. And Maryland is one of only two tracks to get a second race there.
