OMG I LOVE PINTEREST :bann:

I love the recipes! :cheesy:

I love the hairstyles!

I, I LOVE THE MAKE-UP! :yahoo:

I Love the clothes!

But if I keep making the recipes, I wont be able to fit into the cute clothes I pinned which in turn makes the hair and make-up pointless.

OMG I HATE PINTEREST!!!

I was into it for a month then lost interest. I am sure the next time I have a party or project I will get into it again. It is very organized bookmarking....instead of just having the list with no rhyme or reason it is separated into categories.

I consider it an online library. Instead of half a million bookmarks (why did I bookmark that website?) I see why it was bookmarked and it's catergorized into my areas of interest. Crafts, crochet patterns, recipes, dog info, things I want to buy, decorating ideas, funny things, etc. It is a bulletin board with links.

I also like that I can look at friends/family boards and become inspired. My friend is pregnant and picking all these baby ideas, I can follow along and maybe pick things up for her that are applicable to her style or even make coordinating drapes, baby blankets or something. Or my SIL loves this style of hats, I can pick one up the next time I see one similar and know it will be a hit.

Unfortunately I can waste hours on there looking at everything that interests me.

Great. Now I've become interested and will most likely sign up today. Something tells me that this will be more addictive than Angry Birds and Words With Friends. :ohwell:

If it's like it was when it first came out, you'll need someone to invite you to get on faster. I joined the waiting list or whatever it was and waited a week, then had a friend invite me and was able to sign up immediately.

I think membership is open now with no wait-list. I'm sure the exclusivity at the beginning had a big effect on its popularity.

I was curious about this as well. Joined over the weekend. This morning I check my e-mail and ... THREE people are following me!!!!

Oh no. Now what. What if I don't pin anything else ( :nerd: having a grand total of 2 things pinned. ..a tech journal and one recipe.) Should I pin more? But then what if more people jump on my bandwagon....? ah technology, you're killin' me here. If I don't pin anything else, will I disappoint my 'followers' - :strangle:

*goes back to reading books*

I decided to not link it to my FB. I'd think that my friends would get annoyed by my clicking. Apparently when you "like" something it posts it on your FB wall. Will I regret not linking it?

You do not need an invite.

Oops, sorry. I joined a while ago. Just say goodbye to work productivity for a couple weeks and then you'll get tired of it and be back to normal.

I think there's a male version of pinterest but I forgot what it's called.

There's also a website Food Gawker that's just like pinterest, but recipes only.

I'm embarrassed to say that I don't really surf the web all that much. Most of my internet activity is right on here. I'd never see cute boots or cleaning tips to pin for later. :ohwell:

Vrai, I collect recipes, as well as craft ideas, and its much easier than having to print them out and file them. I've found some amazing recipes, as well as cleaning ideas. I've started making my own laundry soap from a recipe I found on there, and it works so much better than commercial soap....and its dirt cheap!!! I'm also a knitter, and there are tons of patterns that I can save without printing out. I love it, but it can be addictive!!!!

There's a way to have it linked to your FB without posting your every move. I'll see if I can figure out what I did to set it up that way.

You can link it so you can follow your friends. There is an option in the settings to turn on/off "Publish activity to facebook timeline"

No, it doesn't. I have it linked to my FB, but I don't allow it posting on my behalf privileges. However, by linking to my FB I can find my friends/family and they me.
