Pittbulls...not for the... 12-15-2006 10:26 AM It is a police K9 that has been trained to fight dummy but since you didn't know I'll give you green. ~CD
Ok ####head,
Didn't mean to offend you or your GSD. GSD's have not been "trained to fight" like pits. Took this from the United Schutzhund Clubs of America website-
I used to work for a kennel that trained K-9 dogs, and I never once saw them train their GSD to fight another animal...
So, while your GSD is probably a large dog, I would still think the pit could out fight your dog...only because of their bite strength and short, stocky, muscled body. But then again, if you're putting your dog against Pixie's pit, I'd pick your GSD.

We are dedicated to protecting & preserving the German Shepherd Dog's working heritage through Schutzhund (German for "protection dog") training. Schutzhund is a sport that focuses on developing & evaluating those traits in dogs that make them more useful & happier companions to their owners.
The purpose of Schutzhund is to demonstrate the dog's intelligence & utility. It also measures the dog's mental stability, endurance, structural efficiencies, ability to scent, willingness to work, courage, & trainability.
This working dog sport offers an opportunity for dog owners to train their dog & compete with each other for recognition of both the handler's ability to train & the dog's ability to perform as required. It is a sport enjoyed by persons of varied professions, who join together in a camaraderie born of their common interest in working with their dogs. Persons of all ages & conditions of life even those with significant disabilities enjoy Schutzhund as a sport. Often, it is a family sport.
