Plane Crash on Airport View?

Not as much a "crash" as landing very poorly.

What's the difference between a good landing and a great landing?

With a good landing, everyone walks away.

With a great landing, you get to use the airplane again. :lmao:

It was briefly just mentioned on the Fox 5 News. Three onboard Pilot, 13yr old boy and an elderly women. Elderly women may have been injured but everybody else is ok. Plane was returning from Potomac airport and seems to have crashed in a field near airport. No other details at this time.

HOLLYWOOD, Md --- (WUSA) A plane has crashed at the St. Mary's County Airport in Hollywood, MD along Airport View Dr. and Lawrence Hayden Dr.

Authorities tell 9NEWS NOW the small plane went down shortly after 8am after a failed take-off.

Three people were aboard the plane at the time of the crash. A 13yr old boy and his grandparents.

The grandson escaped the plane and ran to a local farmhouse to call 911. The farmhouse did not have phone service, the grandson then found a public works crew in the area and used their cell phone to call emergency officials.

The grandmother was flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma and the grandson and grandfather received minor injuries.

FAA continues to investigate.

Sounds closer, The young man told me he was 19, I picked him up on the side of the road and drove him back to the crash site. He was the son of the pilot and his grandmother was injured.

What? Farmhouses at the airport? If it crashed at the airport....why would the airport not notice? I'll drive by there in about 20 minutes and see if there was any wreckage on the airport grounds. There is definately something wrong with that write-up.

There are some homes back there.

where the hell was grandma sitting ... on the wing? That plane is tiny!
You can fit 4 (average size) people in there, as long as you don't try to move much it's comfy.....
