It's also a problem with pro-choice activists. They haven't walked a mile in the shoes of one who has had an abortion and suffers the emotional and sometimes physical repercussions.

You make assumptions, much like Tommy did earlier in this thread. I don't guess the thought may have occurred to you that I know exactly what I'm talking about?

What's not to get? If it were too painful for me to raise the child after having carried it for 9 months I would put it up for adoption, it's still better than killing the child don't you think? I do.

Have you read the whole thread? If so, you would know that I've helped out and do my part. Let me reiterate for you...

1) I've counseled women on birth control and told them of the differences between contraceptives and abortificients so they can make an educated decision
2) I've counseled women after they've received an abortion.
3) I've talked two women into having their children who would otherwise have aborted them and they have both come back to thank me. I also help them out with $, clothing, free babysitting etc when it's needed/required -- in other words, I haven't just left them to their own devices.
4) I donate cash to pregnancy crisis centers.
5) I support pro-life legislation to overturn Roe vs. Wade.
6) I've protested to my congressmen/senators about tax funding for PP becuase PP readily performs abortions.

My ex husband and I had a dream of fostering children when we were able to; unfortunately, once we got to the point of being able to, my husband left and my current life circumstances don't allow me to do that now.

In other words, I don't just talk the talk.

So, let me turn the question back on you and Go-G ... If you are one of those who are personally opposed to abortion but support the choice to have one, what do you do to prevent it from happening?

Dreams? Waaaaaaaaaah! :bawl:

I'm not opposed to abortion at all, but prefer that it NEVER has to happen. This is where contraceptives and your "abortificients"? abortificients - Definitions from Dictionary.com
come in.

Some women can't use hormonal contraceptives and opt for an IUD/condoms. Those that choose to procreate recklessy...well, I feel it's better if the spawn are sucked out prior to 12 weeks gestation (their choice)

We will agree to not agree.

You are no longer in a position to foster these poor unwanted children. Boo-Hoo...yet you think they are better off here (your tax money is STILL paying for them) AND if you DID foster you WOULD get paid for it.

Do the world a favor and continue educating about forms of contraception so abortion doesn't need to be an option.

If one gets pregnant and chooses an abortion it IS one less child you "can't" foster. Get off your pedestal and do something for these children. You could do it if you REALLY WANTED to.

Planned Parenthood is an awesome organization and I stand by them...abortions and all.

I'd carry the baby to term and likely give it up for adoption. I certainly wouldn't create a second victim by committing murder.

Did you read the whole thread or are you just one of the many late-coming circus acts?

I'm sorry if you think you've been pee'd on but perhaps that's because you're easily mistaken for a stupid weed.

I read a majority of the thread. I'm mistaken for a stupid weed? Riiiight. Is that why your man flirts with me? You can't stand it so you pee on my leg to mark your territory. Eventually he's going to get tired of your old jealous ass and move on...
