Playing with HDR

Both of the images were processed with default settings in Qtpfsgui which is a free Linux version for HDR. The processing method is Fattal with whatever the software had as default. I adjusted nothing.

First is JPG version. Notice all the black splotches in the wood cabinet. Lots more noise in the image as well.

Here is a RAW processed image still has noise but alot less in my opinion. This photo original had lots of dark area. I will post the original images as well last for comparison.

Played around with HDR some more; this was shot last night and it comprised of five shots merged in Photomatix.

Now that is a great HDR! I like it best when they still look like regular picture, but have the depth in the shadows!

Nice Shots MrX. I took some 3 exposure raws of my mustang last night but I haven't got photomatix figured out quite yet. I'll keep at it.

In My Opinion
These are two that I did.
Pictures were taken on a clear day with good sun.
I used Gimp (free download I wanted to try) to create the colors in the sky. Then to post it on the forum I shrink it down with the VSO Image resizer. (also a free download)
Ive tried a couple different programs to modify the pictures but so far GIMP is the strongest of them all. DSC00106 [640x480].JPG

Here are a couple that I did

Ignore the watermarks, i was just playing with the free version to see if I liked it. Its pretty neat, I think I'm going to get the license. The first one is North Beach.

I like the second one the best. Save the images, when you get the licensed version it has a funtion to remove the watermarks from the images you processed from the trial version. without haveing to reprocess them.
