Playtex Drop Ins

Suz

33 yrs & we r still n luv
Anyone use them? What are the advantages/disadvantages?
My parents have suggested that I switch to these this time. None of my friends have used them so I cannot get any input from them. Thanks!

SG - Think pump and freeze............ And they thaw quickly in just a pan of hot water. I'm with your parents. I used them almost 21 years ago for my 2. DIL is going to use them also. (she's ready to use them now! poor thing is miserable).

Wow you have not had that baby yet?

she's not due till the second week of Nov.

back to the topic........

I tried the playtex bottles with all my mutts(when I wasn't nursing) and they didn't like them at all

And as for sterilizing the bottles.......I think I did that once with my first....didn't see the point....the rest of them I just washed all the stuff in the dishwasher

We used both the drop in and the regular open it yourself bag liners. Hands down they beat the snot outta sterilizing bottles. Especially when you are out and about. Keep a boll of liners and a can of formula powder in the diaper bag and you are good to go while away from home. :yay:

yeah agreed. I used the liners and the drop-ins too.... I didn't think they were a pain.

P is using the drop ins for Zane. They're very convienient and I can make a bottle one handed. Something that comes in very handy while cuddling and loving he cutest grandbaby in the world. :yay:

I'll have to look into these for the next one. I've used the Dr. Brown bottles and I hate the little pieces. They are too small for the dishwasher to get clean so I hand wash them every day.

Some sweet person gave me a bunch of Dr. Brown's and I'm going to use them until it is time for cereal. I would think that the cereal would jam them up.

Cereal doesn't jam them up, at least it didn't for me I guess it depends on the thickness and I had it at 3 or 4 tbsp for an 8oz, and they even make nipples for cereal use.

You should get red for that, too.
