Glad you got home alive........

Did you happen to chock the tires on the boat?

Yes, I did the one tire where it rolls back. Remember that crab that C and I had accidentally get away on the boat a few weeks ago and it was still alive last weekend when we were on teh boat? Well, I didn't want to pull the plug out of the boat because I was worried about it running out of water and I was throwing it food everyday. Afterall, it lived this long (on the boat) this crab DEFINATELY deserved to live. But, I knew I wouldn't have time to take care of this and pull the floor up to get it out until this weekend. Unfortunatley having the plug in the boat took lots of water on it between tonight and all day today and it got up and rolled away down a hil and its all sideways and cockeyed, I need to figure out how to get the truck to the tow bar tongue thingy and pull the boat out and. l tried doing the right thing :frown: :banghead: :frown:

We had a neighbors boat float off his lift and onto the bank in front of our house. Tied up with plenty of line on the end of the pier.

Well, then you've accomplished your goal for the week. :yay:

No, my goal was to keep him alive until this weekend when I can tear apart the boat to get him out of the hull or whatever it is under the floorboards. :frown: If he's still alive I'm naming him Ernesto.

Hey I am looking for anyone that lives or knows someone that lives in Piney Point. I have friends there and I cannot reach them and I am worried
so I was wondering if anyone knows how bad it is there.

Just checked on the status of the runaway boat...still tied to the end of our pier. The tide is still 2-3 above high tide, but the wind has been piling the water in here for the past 3 days.

A state of emergency is a governmental declaration that may suspend certain normal functions of government, may work to alert citizens to alter their normal behaviors, or may order government agencies to implement emergency preparedness plans. It can also be used as a rationale for suspending civil liberties. Such declarations usually come during a time of natural disaster, during periods of civil unrest, or following a declaration of war.

We got over the bride fine. The water on the Potomac was pretty high and had flooded the banks.

I think it also allows them to apply for Federal Grants to help with the clean up afterwards.
