My hubby had a good time. So sorry I couldn't make it. I took the "boot" off two days ago and took a ride. Had to put it back on today. This really sucks. Worked hard to get that license and now I can't ride.

BS..which one was he? Three guys came in the pub after we had all ordered and sat at the end of the table. Was he one of them? Does he have a pony tail and glasses?

He should have said something!

He didn't go to the pub.

Well, it was a great day for that event. It was nice meeting some of you after reading your posts all these months. Any pictures worth posting aps? I couldn't believe the principal was allowing that show off stuff for the kids. I'll bet they don't have this again.

Well it was GREAT meeting you all! I'm so glad I went. Sorry it took me til today to post but I don't have a computer at home. I use one all day long at work. Last thing I want to see is a computer at home. sheeesh.

I have a few pictures of some of the bikes. I'll put them in the next post.

I still can't believe those guys doing the wheelies and stuff. Glad I left when I did. And that one guy missing the curb by inches, wow. And so many bikes. Lots of those sportbikes. Some were very pretty though. Were any biker groups there? Pagans? Flaming Knights? They have kids too, don't they? (or grandkids). I didn't see any colors. But maybe they were incognito, for the kids' sake, which would be cool.

Again, I'm so glad I got to meet you all. MysticalMom, your old man (right?) is okay. Nice guy. Don't forget to email me those bike fix-em-up links. I really want them. Please please? cbspec@yahoo.com

I look forward to the next ride - in June? Sounds like fun. NO rain.

I noticed several "Flaming Knights". I still can't believe they picked that name. They must have been something else and lost a bet. :lmao:

 those big patches on the back of a vest with the club name are "colors"
If it's got the Logo, club name and location, they're a "full patch holder". If it's missing the center logo, they're a "pledge".

I didn't see any "Property Of" patches Friday. There were several women there who evidently were full patch holders of some club. I think there was a female (sport) bike club there.
But the "Flaming Knights" does sound very gay

Wow. I didn't know there was such a difference in the ranking of patch-wearing club members. Learn something new everyday. But some of the older Harley bikers, whom I figured were FK bike club members, had some really beautiful, very shiny bikes.

Right before I left I was watching others leave. I noticed one girl who seemed very stretched riding her bike. Did anyone else see her? I was wondering how she turned and shifted the bike. It didn't look comfortable at all.

I'll be posting my pics in a few minutes. Have to tweak them first to look nice.

I k now who you are talking about, she looked like she was folded in half.. how uncomfortable that had to be.. But if you never ride more then 5 miles, no big deal.

It's not comfortable, but it provides a lot of control. Compare it to the difference between a cowboy with western tac and some guy on a race horse. One is for long distance comfort, the other is for control at high speed.

I don't think you are talking about the same girl...

This girl could not have been comfortable nor could she have any advantage of control at any speed.. She looked like she was on a medieval rack.

Her arms were stretched to reach the handlebars, and her legs were ALMOST parallel to her arms on pegs high up on the front of her frame. She looked like a sideways "V" as she went by.. She'll pay for it in 20 or so years, when she can no longer stand up straight.

 one of those ape hanger and forward peg bikes?
Those things look cool in the parking lot but it sucks trying to ride them.
