Perhaps a little loud? There are two brand new custom homes selling for about $500,000 directly across from the speedway. I can't imagine how long someone will stand living there. Once they get a taste of the dust that the racecars churn up on the track. Don't know what kind of crack the builder was smoking when he built them. :lmao:

Dang that had to hurt. We stopped racing there the year before last after our last big wreck. A driver from another town was taking people out left and right and hit us once then a another car that caused a wreck we go wrapped up in bad. Destroyed the whole front end. Its alot of fun but a whole lot of money for little return.

I'm not sure what started this but this small junk car barrell rolled 4 times down the backstretch breaking the drivers racing seat and belts must have come loose sending the driver in every direction inside the car. "The Jaws Of Life" were used to cut the top out of the car to get this driver out. It appeared that he landed in the passenger side back seat in the end. It was said that he had a broken arm and broken leg. The way the medical people were handling the situation plus with the helicopper landing in the parking lot he may have had other serious injuries. The medics were seen working on the chest area out in the parking lot .

 It's taken you two months just to put leaf springs on the Camaro with borrowed tools. how are you going to build an entire car for racing by next year?

Well we all know how this will work out, right? New neighbors will move into the houses, get tired of the noise through Friday and Saturday nights, not to mention the motocross events and MIR; then they will partition the local politicians and try and get the tracks shut down.

A few years of biotchin' and they'll get their way... :buttkick:

If you are stupid enough to build and then ##### about noise from the track then the good ole boy network will get you. Can't ever see them shutting those places down. Big money comes to the area when they have their events at all 3 tracks.

The income to the County from the tracks is minuscule compared to what it would bring in from property taxes if it were converted to McMansions. Don't underestimate the power of newby neighbors. Ask most any airport.

I suppose this is true. Guess we have to hope that doesn't happen. I loves me some drag racing and watching the Super lates at Potomac ain't to bad either. :yahoo:
