Im listening to the call about the woman miscarrying twins down in Lusby. This is rough to listen too...apparently she already knew one was a stillborn and she was a 'high risk' at 33 weeks.

She already delivered the stillborn and is having contractions still...trooper 7 is 10 minutes out, landing at PHS....

please pray for this woman...this sounds horrible and I cant even imagine.

btw...if anyone knows her...please let me know the name of the dumb ass OB that did not admit her after knowing she already had a stillborn twin inside her...and she's already 33 weeks! thats long for twins period!

Don't go knocking on the OB/GYN. You don't know what you are talking about. :smack:

It horrifies me that this woman is going through such a terrible and personal situation, and strangers are listening to it on the scanner.

really? how bout being pregnant with twins...being high risk, and being 'sentenced' to bed rest at 28 weeks to err on the side of caution...i fought tooth and nail not to be admitted for the last couple months.

twins are hard. being high risk is hard. combine both...especially with something like a stillborn(which is fairly common)....i would have questioned very very much if it was safe for me to be at home...

sure...maybe she didnt want to be in the hospital...or couldnt afford it..in which case the state paid for OB should have ordered her admitted so the state paid for it....

it just seems really bad that she was at home..because now we are here....listening to this on the scanner *V-blonde* that was my initial reaction too....wow....i cant even imagine....thats why I ask we all pray for her!

I think you should butt out and not speculate on the misfortune of a woman you don't even know, and have no idea what the situation is.

And maybe the forum should just go bye-bye because isn't that what most of the threads contain, speculation?

It does seem odd that a doctor would send her home, knowing one of the twins were dead. I feel I've earned my right to comment, because I spent over 5 weeks at John Hopkins with my 2nd son, delivering nearly 10 weeks too early. :boxing:

Prays said smithchick. Very sad she is going through this, but thank God, Maryland has helo services, and hopefully they'll get her up the road quickly.

I'm not a "scanner loser" but I don't see anything wrong with people listening to it on the scanner. I am far more horrified that someone would immortalize the situation by posting it on the internet, complete with all the gory details.

That's the part that is disturbing and then losing sight of the actual tragedy at hand while making it about them.

I've liked your posts so far but unless you have a 10 yr medical degree, you shouldn't be armchair quarterbacking a Dr. :nono:

I don't even think another Dr. would do that.

I'm just thinking if I were going through a personal emergency of some sort, knowing all these vultures are sitting there  listening to it, and then posting about it. Not everyone wants to be a reality show.

 When I had to call for help for a potentially embarrasing family emergency, it never crossed my mind that anyone might be listening. Even if they were, there isn't a very good chance that they were recording anything. Anything they heard was lost as soon as it was broadcast.

I would be far more concerned if my business was posted on the internet. A friend of mine was involved in a crash. The incident was plastered on a few web pages, with him looking like a drunken idiot. It turns out his situation had a real medical cause, and he was not responsible for his behavior.

The radio call may have been heard by a few people, maybe even some who knew him. But the web pages live on.

Not so much concerned about the scanner. You DO have a scanner link on SOMD.com. Maybe you should take it down since it horrifies you.

Maybe there was nothing to do for her in the hospital so he sent her home where she'd be more comfortable? Is everybody a friggin Dr????????

I've flown on planes a lot & I'm pretty good with my FA-18 simulator. I think I'll 2nd guess all the pilots up there.

Lawd help me I stay in a Holiday Inn Express, I'll be an Aeronautical Engineer.

I don't think any medical calls heard on the scanner should be posted. There is no reason people need to read about other people's medical issues.

Car accidents, okay, mainly to give people a heads up in case they have to travel that way. When the police are chasing some idiot that just tried to rob someone or whatever, okay, it's nice to get a warning just in case you live in that area and the guy might be running through your back yard or trying to get into your house.

Was there a retraction posted in order to straighten the record?
