I've flown on planes a lot & I'm pretty good with my FA-18 simulator. I think I'll 2nd guess all the pilots up there.

Lawd help me I stay in a Holiday Inn Express, I'll be an Aeronautical Engineer.

2A started a thread last week asking for prayers for a friend of their families who has cancer, why is this different? And did anyone tell him he shouldn't post it on the Internet? No...

I don't think any medical calls heard on the scanner should be posted. There is no reason people need to read about other people's medical issues.

They could be posted in a respectful manner. Example: "Please pray for the woman being flown out due to a maternity emergency."

btw...if anyone knows her...please let me know the name of the dumb ass OB that did not admit her after knowing she already had a stillborn twin inside her...and she's already 33 weeks! thats long for twins period!

I'm glad your 5 weeks laying in a hospital qualifies you to make medical judgements. I'll stick with the folks with a decade of training and an alphabet behind thier name.

:shrug: When I had to call for help for a potentially embarrasing family emergency, it never crossed my mind that anyone might be listening. Even if they were, there isn't a very good chance that they were recording anything. Anything they heard was lost as soon as it was broadcast.

I would be far more concerned if my business was posted on the internet. A friend of mine was involved in a crash. The incident was plastered on a few web pages, with him looking like a drunken idiot. It turns out his situation had a real medical cause, and he was not responsible for his behavior.

The radio call may have been heard by a few people, maybe even some who knew him. But the web pages live on.

Actually, I think my 5 weeks of laying in a hospital did allow me to acquire a great deal of knowledge about those coming in and out of the ward I was in. I said I find it ODD she wasn't in the hospital but she may have opted out of staying at the hospital too, if she was given the choice, nobody knows. The issue here seems to be that the thread starter posted an overheard call from the scanner and was lashed at for doing such a thing by the forum admin of all things. I didn't agree with it and said so.

Im listening to the call about the woman miscarrying twins down in Lusby. This is rough to listen too...apparently she already knew one was a stillborn and she was a 'high risk' at 33 weeks.

She already delivered the stillborn and is having contractions still...trooper 7 is 10 minutes out, landing at PHS....

please pray for this woman...this sounds horrible and I cant even imagine.

The issue wasn't about her doctor comment. It was about posting a scanner call, and the details, on the Internet, which is public information. If scanner picking and complaining is going to be a norm around here, the board will lose interest to many members. The fact that this board is a resource to things going on around the tri-county area is the reason most visit.
