I guess all doctors are perfect :sarcasm: that is why there is no such thing as medical malpractice insurance. Get a grip people.

I'm just saying that it is possible for doctors to make mistakes. I for one could care less one way or another what her doctor said. I just pray for this family, especially mother and baby.

They say that the power of prayer is a wonderful and powerful thing, and if that is true, than maybe instead of people beatching about what her doctor said or didnt say (if she even has a doctor), everyone could unite and send hopeful prayers. Who gives a flying fig what was originally posted, if its public, its public, and now that we all now it, please offer their thoughts and prayers for this family.

I think it is highly innapropriate at this point to make any comments beyond best wishes for all people involved. No one here knows the level of care this woman may or may not have received. I only wish her and her family the best and hope that she may draw strength and courage to guide her through this difficult time.

Exactly but there are plenty of armchair OB's offering their opinions.

They could be posted in a respectful manner. Example: "Please pray for the woman being flown out due to a maternity emergency."

The title of this forum is "News and Current Events" not "Support for Grieving family Members."

We discuss news here, and will continue to do so. If you don't like discussions of news, don't read it.

How is one thread so much different than the other?

That's easy. The first post refers to someone posting information about a medical emergency they overheard on a scanner. The second post is from a thread discussing a news story, reported by the police through a press release, and covered by news outlets.

There's a difference between a macabre voyeurism about someone's medical misfortune and discussion of a news report about a selfish bastard who murdered his wife.

really? how bout being pregnant with twins...being high risk, and being 'sentenced' to bed rest at 28 weeks to err on the side of caution...i fought tooth and nail not to be admitted for the last couple months.

twins are hard. being high risk is hard. combine both...especially with something like a stillborn(which is fairly common)....i would have questioned very very much if it was safe for me to be at home...

sure...maybe she didnt want to be in the hospital...or couldnt afford it..in which case the state paid for OB should have ordered her admitted so the state paid for it....

it just seems really bad that she was at home..because now we are here....listening to this on the scanner *V-blonde* that was my initial reaction too....wow....i cant even imagine....thats why I ask we all pray for her!

How in the hell do you know that the state paid for her OB by listening to a scanner?

I was on bed rest the last 3 months. It sucked. I also had a 2 year old to take care too. I went into premature labor several times and my blood pressure was through the roof.I didn't feel my baby that much. I told him i was in fear that the cord was wrapped around her neck. My doctor did nothing. He called me 2 days after my doctors appointment and was like i need to run some test. I went in and lord be hold i was rushed to the operating room to have a c-section. The cord was wrapped around her neck twice and she was blue. Thankfully she was ok and no damage.
