This is problematic first scripture is very clear there is NO mediator between God and man
1Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
Secondly Mark should not be any more esteemed than any other born again believer the Bible says that any born again believer is a saint!
Thirdly the angels do not even take adoration as they are created beings and fellow servants.
Think about it Mark is powerless do do anything dead or alive.
#4 God has already granted his Grace to us by providing a means of salvation through Jesus Christ ALONE.
Lastly and perhaps the largest of the theological errors displayed here is that this and you are encouraging people to steel from God His glory. The whole reason for our being is to bring honor and glory to God, and you want to steel some of that and give it to another who is totally unworthy? Were told that God is is a jealous God.

Lastly please consider how important it was to God, for Israel to be a chosen people to be set apart for his Glory and for the world to look upon them and marvel at there awesome God.

If you place no value in my words, or the word of God, I would encourage you to look at the church historically. What time frame this corruption crept into the church and they embraced it and why would they do such a thing.
The apostles certainly did Not pray to each other dead or alive or to there old testament saints. So why did this take place and was excepted later?

You are totally correct in your statements. Those who die without Christ are alive in Hades too, but there's more to it. Allow me to splain it to you Lucy:
Jesus allowed 3 of the Apostles to be able to see images of Moses & Elijah for a short time, but none of the 3 could speak to them or vice-versa. They could only speak to Jesus.
Ecclesiastes 6v12 and 9v5 & 6 says the dead know nothing. Once a person gets to Heaven or Hades, they have no idea what's going on here on earth.
They know what's going on ONLY where they are, and not across that great divide.
So, with that information, there is no sense in praying to the dead. Jesus taught us how to pray and it was directed to God only.

Thank you, IT. Yes, my baby boy was born on 5/11, and he is delightful and perfect, and all of his brothers and sisters adore him.
It says only Jesus spoke to them, but it doesn't indicate that He was the only one who could have. The point of the Transfiguration that I am trying to make is that clearly those who died their earthly death are alive in Heaven, not "sleeping", as some think. And clearly, they are, by the power of God, aware of, and involved in, what is happening on earth.
Those who are in Heaven are not constrained by time or space, and they have been perfected through Christ. That means their intellect and their love for others is as God had intended "in the beginning", so to speak.
He's beginning to rouse, so I hope to get another chance to post later...

I'm sure I won't convince you of this but God makes it clear NOT to consult ANY dead person. We're not even allowed to pray to angels. Only God himself should be prayed to. Anything else is idolatry.
Actually, tolerance is a liberal invention. The Bible is not tolerant in any way to the things that oppose the one true God. And with good reason. Look at the mess tolerance has caused today. Everybody gets their own way, right or wrong...

But I also appreciate appropriateness.
This particular thread was started by someone who wanted to offer up a prayer, or whatever. In the other thread that you pissed all over, someone offering a prayer of thanks to saints who prayed along-side them.
Both times, you inappropriately barged in and told them that they're praying wrong and why.
Yeah - it's a public forum. Yeah, you have a right to do that.
Just as I have the right to think you're a bloviating ass for doing so.
Just to be sure: You realize that's a figure of speech which describes your EXACT behavior in this thread and the other one right... I'm not accusing you of actually urinating into cereal.
I call it like I see it. I jump on lots of people in lots of forums for lots of reasons. I get jumped on myself occasionally. Nobody's singled you out. However when someone expresses their heart-felt gratitude toward religious figures they believe helped them, and you chime in with "Your doing it wrong!" you're going to attract negative attention to yourself.
Are you seriously going to tell me that's not common freakin' sense that every 8 year old should know?
Further: If you do something you know attracts negative attetion, you shouldn't act so surprised when you receive negative attention.
