We got a landline in December. We keep getting calls for the previous people who had this number. Apparently they're having trouble with their mortgage. :lmao: Anyhoo, I noticed a $15 dollar charge on my phone bill that said "Voicemail Mo Fee" or something. I called to see what it was, and the lady signed up for this voicemail service in APRIL!!!! Meaning, she signed up for this service with OUR number after not having that number for the past 4 months!!! What a freaking idiot.

The weird thing is that BF is friends with her son. :lmao: We're gonna have to call and set her straight.

We're constantly getting calls from collections agencies looking for the people who had our number before us. We've had this number since January 2006. :ohwell:

I got a guy's phone number who was apparently very much in debt. I had all of his creditors calling me all of the time. It sucks.

At least you know the people!!!!!!!!!!! Go Get 'em!!!

I got you all beat...we've had this number for 6 years and still get collection calls for the prior number holder. We also get calls from a casino in Atlantic City. Apparently this guy was a regular customer.

Yeah, apparently neither of the two people who previously had our number felt it was necessary to pay their bills. This one particular bill collector called all the time, even at 9 pm on a Sunday night. Isn't there a cutoff time? Last time I asked to speak with a supervisor and explained that we've had this number since August. I offered to send her a copy of our bill. She said that wasn't necessary and she would take us off the list. They haven't called since. Try speaking with a supervisor. I won't say it will definitely work, but it's worth a try.

I wouldn't have one either but my new place is so far out in BFE that cell phones don't work reliably. With 2 little kids out here in snake country Texas a landline is necessary.

That's why we have a landline, due to crappy cell service. Otherwise, we wouldn't bother. But we live in a more local BFE than you, here in somd. :lmao:

Going through the same crap right now w/ our new number. Prior number owner also had a child going to Leonardtown Middle because we're getting the automated calls at SIX IN THE MORNING and so forth. :banghead:

I got a call from Spring Ridge a couple of weeks ago. Ummm... I am out of that school district.

I had my number 12 years. I just did the reverse look-up and I see who has it now.

It was one of those awesome, sequential numbers you cannot forget. I apologize to the lady off of Pegg Road who has it now :roflmao:

My Grandparents used to have the number 377-7733, it was so easy to remember. They moved and lost that number 30+ years ago.

It was annoying, but I could live w/ the calls from the school. Then the phone rang this morning at 6:09 a.m. to tell me the schools would be opening two hours late. That was the last straw. :cussing:

I got the call at 6:01am and had JUST wondered out of bed to get ready to go to work. Needless to say, I went back to bed.

Usually, I am already out of the house about that time.
