Propane Tanks and Toilets

Well OK......but I still don't see what that has to do with me (or anyone) turning in the old tanks in on an exchange basis. I turn the old tanks..or any tank..back in in exchange for a full one. That is a good thing to know for getting the cheaper refills though...like at Bob's or Three Mules. I'll have to check mine and see if any have that new "feature".

Why on earth do you think they're "full?" A 20 pound BR tank has around 17 pounds of propane in it. Caveat Emptor and all that.

If I need one filled I wait for Southern States to have a sale on Propane, couple of weeks ago it was on sale for $8.99 for a 20 pound. I'm all gassed up now, have 2 full bottles and a almost full one on the grill. Since I don't cookout as much it will take probably 2 years before I use up what I have.

Good to know. I've never seen anyone have a "sale" on propane.

Wish I had seen this earlier. I need a couple of tanks to make a rocket heater for my shop.

On another note, I get mine refilled at Taylor Gas. They bleed the tank and put more propane in it than they do at BJ's so they last longer. I grill all year round; lamb chops and potatoes on the grill tonight. Yum!
