That's not a problem. Where they are going is about 15' away if that.
The problem is stupid crap like kid in the car, backpack in the trunk. EVERYDAY. Stuff like that. If you saw it everyday like I do it would drive you insane!!!!

Makes you want to ram the back of their grocery-getter, doesn't it?

I'm with ya, girlie. These bubble people who have to supervise their freakin' kid walking into the school, and have to pull *right* up front so little Prunella doesn't have to walk an extra 10 feet.

I got smart and when I had to take my kids to school, I didn't even pull up to the front. I'd go around to the back lot where there were no buses and no Mommies, and drop them there. Then they just walk around to the front.

I think you may have just solved her problem! :yahoo:

Sure you can. You just tell them to get the eff out of the way. Eventually they figure it out.

Well, obviously she doesn't want to do that, or she wouldn't be whining on the forums about people being in her way and causing her to sit for an extra 30 seconds. Poor baby.

When I drove my daughter to school, she had to get her back pack out of the trunk. Get over yourself.

why? not trying to pick a fight, but why did she HAVE to get her backpack out of the trunk? why couldn't she keep it in the front of the car?

Exactly! I pick up the middle schoolers at the catholic church next to it. That is until some mackerel snapper came out and said I can't do it anymore. :cussing:
Now I wait across the street in a parking lot.

1. Have kids ready when you pull up.
2. DO NOT put their book bag in the trunk. This pisses people off. There has to be pleanty of room in the car for a stinkin' bag.
3. You do not need to get out and kiss them goodbye etc. Should they need assistance getting items out of the car, kindly pull into a space and proceed.
4. You do not have to wait until you are first in line to let your kid out. They can walk a few yards.

Here's the desired/necessary plan:
Pull up. Kid gets out as you say good bye etc. They shut the door. You pull off. End of story. You do it everyday. It should be routine and you should have it down by now. If the kid is the problem, deal with it. I cannot stand to be held up every stinkin' day because your family can't get it together. Find a new plan if you cannot adhere to the rules. TIA.

I agree with you. If they want to dilly dally or wait until little Susie walks all the way into the building, then they can pull into a spot and wait. No need to hold up the pull through lanes. :yay:

30 seconds, I can get over. It's the ones that sit there for 5 minutes that make me want to give them an obscene gesture.

Typically my kid was already out of the car and inside the building by the time these boneheads get out of the way (because I realize I do not have to let them out EXACTLY in the very middle of the drop zone). So there the rest of us sit, gridlocked because some Mommy can't get her act together and thinks she owns the drop zone.

I drop my kids off on Mondays and the ther 4 days i get out because i have a smaller one that goes those days. My kids cant get out of the van themselves because it is safety locked from the inside, so someone has to let them out. I also kiss them goodbye. It takes all of about 30 more seconds.

Now, this is what confused me. If it's a drop off, you have to be able to park for a moment to get your kid/s out of the car.

It says No Parking, not No Stopping. Parking means you sit there for more than the 15 seconds it should take your kid to get out of the car.

Shoot, I never even put my car IN park when dropping the kids at school, just stop and let 'em out.
