Especially on MY car. :angry: :burning:

I was backing out of my parking space, was a full car length out of the parking space, when a woman hit me. We bought the car in January, had survived up to today with no door dings, no scratches, not even a rock chip. Man am I PISSED.

So far I have 1 estimate (Hughesville Autobody Shop) of roughly $400.00 to repaint the front bumper and blend the scratch on the fender.

I checked the other auto paint threads, gonna call 2 guys and Car Craft(? I think that was the other recommended shop on this side of the river). Also gonna get an estimate from Auto By Design (L'town Ford recommended them, that's who they use).

If I were you I would take it to Chesapeake Auto Body. The owner is a real know it all prick but they do great work :lmao:

No Miz Shayron, I did NOT hit her back. My Momma raised me better than that. I was actually quite civil with her. Even when after looking at it, she said "It looks like it's just barely scratched". Then I pointed out that the 2 different shades of gray that she could see were actually bare plastic bumper and the primer that goes under the color paint. In other words, MUCH more than "just a minor scratch".

I did NOT have a stroke over it. I kept quite calm and collected throughout the entire thing. The thing is, HOW THE HELL COULD SHE NOT SEE ME? I WAS AN ENTIRE CAR LENGHT OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE! Over 9 months with no damage at all, not even a rock chip and then WHAM! Now I have to get the bumper and fender repainted.:banghead:

I am glad no one got hurt. The reason I said what I did is because I have a friend that bought a new GTO. He is the type where the car is his baby and he said if anyone hit it, he would explode. His GF and I always told him a car is a car and it can be fixed, but he was more important. His car got hit and he even though he was very upset, he kept his cool, thought about what we said and agreed. The car got fixed and no one was hurt. It's a pain to go get it fixed, I know.
