Well worth it. Distilled is dirt cheap and with that coil it will last for as long as you need it to.
Ill never go back to overpriced coolants that claim they cool better

Just saw the pictures. Your case looks amazing. You dont happen to have the Corsair 700D do you? My case looked similar to yours but I've got rubber grommets all over it.

I would have suggested a Corsair PSU. They are rock solid.

yeah, its all good. I've used OCZ in the past a few times and they've been pretty good in the past, so I was OK with this one. I'll take more pictures once it gets installed. This one is modular so I wont have all of the extra crap all over the place.

The only thing OCZ I wont buy is their ram, but thats ok because last I heard they stopped production of their ram.

I've heard that too. I actually have a 60GB SSD from them which is running windows, and its serioulsy been amazing. I can't believe how fast my computer runs now (when it actually turns on and works).

I havent moved into the SSDs yet. Maybe once the price takes another tumble.
Im more of a storage kinda guy over speed for right now.

Yeah, I would love to go to some sort of NAS architecture, but I don't have enough data that I need to store. I'm considering building a HTPC which I'll record practically everything I can, but thats in the future.

TX Series are good but you have to find a place to cram the spare wires you dont use. I opted for the HX because its modular.

IT'S ALIVE!!! So my computer is officially working. Everything's been updated and it looks like its running like normal. Now the real question is...Do I try to overclock it again?

IDK, thats up to you. What CPU do you have?
Looks like you have a P35 chipset on a Abit board.
Ive never OCed on that chipset so IDK how its going to hold up. Its been a LONG time since ive used an Abit board.

My new 2500k is at 4.6gig and climbing. Im aiming for 5gig.
Even at 4.6gig this quad core is almost beating out the high end i7 chips

Just now noticed looking at your pics that you stuck your GPU in the bottom PCIe slot. Why didnt you put it in the top slot?
That card is in a 4x slot and not the 16x slot.

Sorry that I'm just getting back to this, I honestly didnt know you replied back.

SO I did overclock my computer and I was able to get it up to 3.4G, so thats good. What will moving the GPU from the 4x to the 16x do? Just allow for more data to be processed?

Its just going to bottleneck your GPU is all. 8x and up doesnt matter but at 4x you are going to see loss of performance.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775

I'll move the GPU up to the 16 and see if I notice any difference.

Thanks!

Yeah, I haven't truly upgraded in a while. Although I haven't really needed to. My next projects will be a NAS and a HTPC.

Have you ever done any either of these?

Yup. Both actually.
I have a small NAS running off a tiny Atom processor for general sharing on the network and I used to have a HTPC but didnt use it as much as I thought I would so it got dismantled into something else then it got sold.
