Sorry Pix have to agree with Catt and others on this, the easiest way to check out the quality of your food is look at the first 5 ingredients on the bag, or the site you listed. Nutro max natural is a lot better than grocery store brand and Iams but, the first five ingredients are not human grade chicken, lamb or fish. It is chicken meal, which can be guts scraped up from the floor. Rice and brans were next, which seems to be right up there with a lot of fillers. Now nutro max does have a dog food out that is called "ultra" and that is a very good food along with garlic, cranberry and glucosamines. It is very good and recommend by the whole dog food journal as well as the foods Catt mentioned. Right now the cheapest "good" food seems to be Chicken soup. Just had to add my 2 cents....pixiegirl said:Wrong answer momma. Large breed foods are made to keep a large breed puppy from growing too fast.
And CC, NutroMax is a great food and available at Petsmart.
