5 or 6 times this morning, Jake (6 years old and fixed) has had his "lipstick" out. I caught him humping a stuffed animal. It's always the same stuffed animal. (which I have now thrown away) I know this sounds crazy, but it's true and I am so confused.

Why? I've never seen him like this before. :confused:
Woody has even noticed it. :snifsnif:

Why would this be happening to a fixed dog? I thought all sexual desire was eliminated when they got fixed. :shrug:

A friend of mine has a bulldog that is fixed and has been for a year now and he humps all the time when he gets really excited.


My dog is a year and is not fixed yet. He humps maybe once in a blue moon.

So many dogs, male and female, hump for any and all reasons under the sun, including, but not limited to: old inclination, dominance and/or it just may feel good. :shrug:

My lab has been fixed since she was 6 months, she loves to try to hump husband as soon as he lays down in bed. This has been an ongoing fight for 4 years, making her stop and getting her to get off the bed. She use to grab a hold of our friends leg when he came to visit only this one person, not sure why she still does it, never has tried to hump our other dog.

When I was like 17, I didn't know my dog was humping me until my mother pointed it out...I thought he was just giving my leg a hug!

Ok...to all of you who say "that men getting fixed and women getting fixed.....yeah. But we were not castrated. Jake was. (so was Woody)
But I'm thinking that their sexual desire should be gone with castration. Right?

I mean if there is a sexual deviant who is court ordered to be castrated, he lost his desire, right? He can't get hard. (?)
I understand the humping, but not the actual thing out.

I'm going to chalk this up to something freaky about the stuffed animal! I just caught Jake trying to take it out of the trash can.

I chased him with a rolled up newspaper. Maybe that will calm him down. He hates getting the newspaper across his butt.

Damn, this bugs me.

My dog has been fixed for years and he still humps. But it looks like sometimes it's something he can't control. I don't know. I just try to move away from him when he does it :lol:

my sentiments exactly! I even had a female dog who was fixed - a choc lab - and she would always hump her sister. maybe she was just a lesbian
