Question for the moment: Ga$ prices?

Gas prices haven't changed our driving habits at all. However, I've cut back on my driving because I live in the middle of nowhere since February and hate having to jump in the car and drive 20 miles for a lousy loaf of bread. We consolidate our shopping and make better "To Buy" lists for our projects. Not having all the big box stores within 5 miles makes you plan a lot better.

The Government could do more about it if they wanted to. The oil companies are just making a profit, as is the Government. Gas is taxed more than you think.

Yes, and the wonderful legislators of Maryland are getting ready to tax our gas again, increasing the tax rate 25%. Oh, and don't forget the $10 per tire tax they want from you now if you buy tires that are not "energy efficient". :jameo:

I quit smoking cigarettes so I actually have more money for gas now even with higher prices...

It hasn't affected me any. If it goes up 10 cents a gallon, I pay a measly dollar.

I don't get all the hoopla over gas prices. Worrying about pennies.

I can't even imagine you were driving when gas was under $1.00!:jameo:

Don't you live with your parents still? Get back to me when you have a house payment, property taxes and possibly a wife and children. :spank:

The tax on gas has also gone way up. In Maryland there is a .26 cent per gallon state tax. The .26 cent does not include any county gas taxes.

Actually, I remember when it was .99 cents.

When I have all that, I still won't complain about gas pennies.

Lets see, since I have 2 Trucks a gas fueled and diesel fueled, I've been driving both, I had been driving the Turbo Diesel, but since Diesel was $4.09 in Bryans Road the other day, I was driving my 08 Silverado

Do you know the mpg of your diesel?? If it is more then 20% better then your gas truck, you will actually save money by driving the diesel!

Diesel is about 20% more then regular gas now. But I think Diesels get at least 30% better gas mileage then regular cars.
