Sweetie, I guarantee you I was raised to be a good little lockstep-housewife, barefoot & pregnant, and miserable, and if I hadn't radically altered the patterns into which I was born, I would have turned out to be exactly that. (And given the pattern, I'd've been dead by age 35.)
I most certainly wasn't raised by the type of radical feminists you describe -- hell, I wasn't raised by feminists at all -- and I did not have access to any such people. And I most certainly was not raised to be gay. There's no such thing as raising someone to be gay.
Orientation is like handedness. No one really knows why some people turn out to be left handed or ambidextrous, but they do. It's neither good nor bad. It just is.
I don't pretend to know why I'm gay. I do know I didn't choose it, and I fought it for the first 15 years of my adult life. I wasn't a healthy woman until I accepted it.
