raising dogs for food

I was at the shelter the other day checking out the dogs and it dawned on me..... With all these dogs up for adoption that will most likely be put to sleep why not farm them and use them as food? I've eaten dog before and it's very tasty when properly prepared. Other countries do it why not us.... To the shelter - I'll be researching the legalities of adopting your dogs and raising them as food on my property. No worries, they will be treated very well and fed like celeberties to fatten them up. While I conduct my research perhaps others can chime in so I can get a feel for the dog meat market in the area before I get in over my head.

Here's my slogan - Dog, it's what's for dinner. Similar to the beef slogan a few years back but better IMO.

Then why did you respond? I'll bet that a nice German Shepard Rib Eye would change your mind. I ate a dog last week but I have some left overs if you're interested. PM me for a free sample.

Guess there's not much interest in raising dogs for food around here. The Korean's would be shocked!

It's funny how American's place such a stigma on certain types of animals. In reality eating dog is no diffrent than eating any other mammal deemed acceptible by the general public for human consumption. I find it shameful that we euthenize thousands of dogs each year when we have so many people starving in our country.

Next time I have guests over i'll be serving dog beef stew and I'll bet it's as tasty as anything they've ever had and none will know they are eating scooter the stray dog..... Dinner is always served at 7Pm for anyone who lacking the courage to try new cuisine.

Cows, chickens, pigs and fish are ugly. They deserve to be eaten.

Doggies and kitties are SOOOOO CUTE - and they do not deserve to be eaten. How can you eat something that's cute, with the big eyes and floppy ears and big paws.

I'd rather see a cow get it's noggin sledgehammered in, and grill up a steak than see a widdle puddy tat get eaten.

Bunnies are kinda cute. But they taste AWESOME!

Baby cows and pigs are very cute - they don't start getting ugly until they grow up. But veal and suckling pig are supposed to be quite tasty (although I don't eat baby animals myself, not even lamb).

That's why it won't work. Dogs have eveloved to human status in our politicaly correct society. You can't buy a dog from the pound or a rescue group, you have to adopt it. I think that's insane.
Did you know it's illegal to sell horse meat in this country? You can't even use them for dog food anymore.

Not illegal to eat your own horse though, correct?

Honestly if you aren't above eating a cow, chicken, pig, lamb, goose, buffalo, gator, deer, nutria, opposum, squirrel, moose, bear, fish, oyster, clam, crab, shrimp then WHY NOT DOG???

I don't eat much meat and was vegetarian for over 10 years.... I'm rethinking my ways again but I know that fish is jam packed with all kinds of good for you vitamins, minerals and other, I like it raw in sushi.

So what does dog taste like?

Dog has a similar flavor to beef, texture is a little coarser.

I have oftern wondered why city dwellers don't eat pigeon.
In a French resturant, is squab

I thought it was ok to feed Kittens to a snake

In the span of seven years, an unspayed cat and her offspring can produce 370,000 kittens!

:lmao:

Is it legal yet?

In the span of six years, an unspayed dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 puppies!

That could feed so many starving people!

You know, I haven't seen a stray dog in Lusby in a couple of months. I wonder what's different?

yes very simliar to beef although I hear every breed tastes slightly different. I've only eaten a few different breeds and they all tasted the same to me.....

Pigeon is also very good, but unfortunately it's hard to find on a menu outside of China or France.

By the way... Cats taste better than dog and are plentiful in Vietnam if you ever get the craving.

Oops look at the time, scruffy smells the his brother boiling away and he's getting anxious. Gotta run!

we don't put orphans down if no one adopts them in 6 days, or if they bite people...
I say eat the little buggers and make clothing from their hides.
