My Sweetest Boy
eewwwwwwww... :cds: skunks!

I saw it on Craigslist....

I told Abbey, "NO MORE SKUNKS!!" So, the other night she brought me a young raccoon. Ugh.

I tried to help place the two Boxers that Bresamil posted about on here. Put out a note to Boxer rescues and on a FB Boxer rescue..then she never got back with me and I had a ton of people bugging me about the fate of the dogs. Ain't doing that again. :ohwell:

Please..no milk unless it is diluted KMR (Kitten Milk Replacement) Cows milk is very BAD for cats!
KMR with water will introduce them to water...
Actually, a well balanced kitten food is all they need at this point, and water 24/7.

Work on getting the last 10% of fleas off....you can give them Capstar safely.
Or you can get Revolution for kittens,,

Or, just give them another bath with Dawn soap and wash from ears tips to tail tip!!

Hold head down, gently cover nose with finger, dunk into water, covering entire head, remove finger, wipe face and nose, hold head down a few seconds more so that water dips down and away from the nose.

Fleas love to hide in the base of the whiskers and ears!

Glad they are doing well..and remember to weight them daily they should gain 1/4 pound a week for the first 4 months!

Have Capstar but kittens must weigh at least 2 pounds . They weigh 14 OZ

14 ounces??? That makes them 3 1/2 weeks...Use KMR..it is the best!!
Make by PetAg..the company that makes formula for 100+ different animals, wild and domestic!

KMr and soft cat food...many kittens crash at the weaning process because we think they are eating enough, but they are not...
Weight every day, before feeding..I know it is a hassle, but this age is critical for them!

Give them another full bath and pick off all the fleas!! Please!

Plus we are waiting for pictures!!!

17 OZ now ! Should have weight them at beginning  12 oz was weight 4 days ago. As for pictures ,:yahoo: both wife & I know diddly squat about computers, digital camera's and posting ONLINE:whistle: . But we will find someone to do this for us. Everyday I use flea comb and don't really find too many live fleas or flea poop, so they must be coming off for I change bedding towel every day !

Will try 1/2 pill ! Thanks :buddies:

Dosage with Capstar is not all that critical..
Per the box I am reading from:
Capstar for 2-25 pound cats and dogs (quite a range)

"Safe for use in dogs, puppies, cats and kittens 4 weeks of age or older and 2 pounds of body weight or more. ( who ever heard of a 4 week old kitten weighing 2 pounds?...execpt huge Maine Coons)

Works within 30 minutes

I use Capster on baby squirrels with maggotts...only thing that really kills maggots I can find ( ears, nose, mouth, "other end")

If need be, take a tablet and cut it in-half and give to kitten.

Fleas WILL kill them ....adjust capstar dosage if you have to..but you MUST get rid of the flease

My wife found 2 kittens in the parking lot where she works and we have them until we find homes ! They are male & about 4 weeks according to Vet. Both have mega fleas and Vet said to use Dawn Dishwashing soap & flea comb . For eating we have been feeding Syringe full of Milk & Nutri Cal 4- 7 times a day. Has any one had to do this and maybe can share some advice !

Today , our Kittens are going to their new home ! We have 3 cats & our Yorkie and it is breaking our hearts to have them leave . Both are now 11 weeks full of life and quite mischief. Thanks again to all those whom shared their knowledge , expertise and advice regarding the raising of kittens at that young age . I wish I could find the heartless person whom "dumped" them and show them , such fine kittens they left with no mercy !

Aww glad to know they are doing well. It's hard to say goodbye so I totally understand :huggy:

I have all I can handle of cats too, otherwise I'd keep the ones I have available for adoption. If you know anyone interested in a pair of boys that are about 9 months old, let me know. 1 is orange/white, the other is gray/white and they are the sweetest laid back kitties. They are bonded buddies so I want them to stay together.

I picked up the 2nd of two 10 week old rescue kittens today and when I got it to home it promptly escaped from the crate and ran off. So now I have 2 trap cages setup hoping the little thing didn't run far and will be hungry soon  . I even go outside periodically to get the 1st one meowing as bait in the barn to get his buddy to come find him  . I've learned a few ways to catch kitties over the years, and this kitten has never been in a trap cage, so it should be easy to catch it, IF it's still close enough.

Me too - as of this morning - nothing. I just hope he doesn't wander onto a neighboring property, as just about everyone has dogs. I hope to see him later today. He should be pretty hungry by now.

PS - I should have checked the latch on the crate - I didn't double-check it after the person loaded the kitten up in it. Crap Crap Crap !!!!!!!
