When it's for a 2 week loan
Can someone who is really, really, really good at math tell us the real, real, real interest rate for a $300 fee to borrow $7000 at 14 days?
I'm just curious.
When it's for a 2 week loan
they all know better then to call me that crap
I started out TRYING to warn others that this may happen to them.
Do you have credit cards? Do they charge interest? Car payment?
Where I come from, people advise somebody if they're wasting $300...but I guess that's just me
What they are trying to tell you is that the $300 fee amounts to a criminally high interest.
Lets just say it takes 30 days for your tax return. $300 interest fee for 30 days on $7,000 would come out to an annual interest rate of something like 129%. Think of what you can do with $300 if you can possibly hold on for 30 days for the refund. A hell of a spa day, 2 months of power bills, a free car payment, 3 dinners for 2 at Cafe des Artist.
Thank you for breaking that down for me.
For all of us, Pete.
THAT is what was trying to be said, and maybe people will see the logic now...maybe not..but at least it is there in black and white
Ever go to Fast Stop Tag and Title because it is easier than dealing with MVA? Same scenario. You pay extra to get the service how you want it and when you need it. You may not need your refund now and that is dandy. I wish that was the case for me.

Whew!I'm done here
Whew!
Just look at the life experience on RALs he just racked up...
I didn't even know what the stupid things were until today

Actually that saves you time of driving to Waldorf, if I work those two hours that I would have spend going to and from Waldorf then I come out way ahead.
I hope everything works out for you.Just a FYI to those applying for a RAL this year. If you received a stimulus check mid-year, you will be denied a RAL. Apparently the IRS is rechecking returns this year to verify that the correct stimulus amount was dispursed. IRS, Jackson Hewitt, and Santa Barbara Bank are telling me that some people received too little and are getting what is owed added to their return. If you apply and get denied the RAL you have to wait 2 weeks to get your return, even if it is a direct deposit. So much for e-filing.
