Just because the Cowboys struggled and didn't show up. When you play Madden we called that being housed when you loose by 21 points. My skins will beat New England no ones worried about the Pats and Shady Brady. Our D will pressure him all game. Just ask Kitna from Detroit when they played us....... Just my theory here.

So, I took a survey on a website that asked who would win this Sunday's game against the Redskins and the Patriots. The majority said that the Skins would win. How in the world is that going to happen. Patriots are 100% better than the Skins. What is your guess of the final score???

...the case to me made is, first off, they are not 100% better. I think we clearly have a better D.

The second point is that we do have an emerging Jason Campbell, Chris Cooley, Santana and ARE and that, maybe, the O line will be able to do a fair enough job making a few holes for Portis and Betts.

Teams like the Pats and Colts look better on paper sometimes because they get up on opponents early and all of a sudden the other guys give up on the run, start pressing and make a turnover or three and then it becomes a tidal wave with the Pats knowing they only have to worry about the pass and not even spending much time on the field, not getting wore down, etc.

They are good, damn good and certainly a better team than us. BUT, if we can run the ball some, make first downs, get a score or two early, maybe get a turnover or two from them, then, perhaps, it stays close and we get a break at the end.

I can't see us winning as that's just not what we do. I can see it being close.

Could be...tho Detroit has the WORST OL in football, giving up the most sacks (31),
while NE has only given up 7 sacks all season. But they will need to get pressure
on him to have any chance.

Based not only on their records but the fact that the Skins have not lived up to their potential (especially defense on the second half) gives the Patriots the definite win. But let it be known that any team can beat another based on any number of unknown circumstances during the game. So if the Skins where to pull off a miracle win, not only would that be the Headline for the entire NFL but the Potomac River would part by the wave of Joe Gibbs hands.

I love the skins, but if we can hardly beat the cardinels, there is no way we are gonna beat the pats. the skins did everything they could to lose to AZ. if they want to beat brady, they need to have a perfect game - no penalities and no turnovers. And they need to put a lot of pressure on brady w/o forgetting about the secondary. I just don't see that happening. I will be watching with my fingers crossed though!!!

Maybe because the Pats put up 30+ per game wheareas the Skins BEST was 34 but are only averaging what 17-20 ppg, and the D even on the very best of days cannot win this game single handedly.

Because the experts have favored the Patriots to win and by 17 points :shrug: Theoretically, that would be a big upset if the Pats were to loose.

Pats will cover the spread and 3.5. I hope the Skins win, but they will lose by 21 easy.
