What part of "in lieu of taxes" do you not understand? The PILOT is not "in addition to".

So you are saying that they will not, in the future, be paying the county a total annual tax amount that is more than they have in the past? That is not how I understood it. Links?

The commissioners' meetings are televised and recorded. You will find hundreds of quotes there from the commissioners themselves about their uncertainty that Dominion will pay taxes in the future. Hell, if they believed Dominion would pay, there would be no reason for these tax increases on people who always pay the freight.

If there is credible solid evidence that Dominion is lying, shouldn't it be a matter of public record?

No you don't. And there were no insults. You simply try to stir up crap..got called on it..came back with nothing. It' very simple really. Happens a lot.

We'll know in less than 2 years if they pay anything. I really don't understand people like you who defend those who buy special deals for themselves and hide behind non-disclosure agreements.

Actually what the Commissioners, through a couple different Boards, have said is that they won't count the money as "in the pot" until the check has been cashed. Which is usually in response to some special pleading from one group or another which uses the "Well you're going to get Dominion money" when they're told no.

None of the Commissioners, not one, has ever stated doubts about the money coming in, just that it won't be spent, or even allocated to a future program, until it's in the County Treasurer's account.

Do you still believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the tooth fairy too? Show me the public record that they are not real.

Aren't you getting a little old to believe in fairy tales?

I've seen numerous examples of that doubt at the meetings (not the newspaper). And I've spoken to one commissioner who also has doubts.

Like I said, we'll know in less than 2 years if they pay anything.

At least I have not lost my ability to use critical thinking skills...as you apparently have. You spew..you do not put forth one single tiny piece of actual solid evidence to support your spew.

:yeahthat:

I agree 100%, they are not willing to commit moneys that they have not received yet. I have never heard one say they doubted the money was coming.

If I may ...
If I may ...
I will vote for Evan, Pat, and Tom again in the next election, not so sure about Hart and Weems, whom i did vote for in the last election.
So you like getting bent over and having a large phallic without lube [use your imagination] over and over saying proudly and loudly, "Thank you sir may I have another?" Either that or you are independently wealthy or are a recipient of, or benefit from, county government money in some fashion.

Makes perfect sense. Especially given the fairly large delta between the low and high estimates.
