Relocate to Maryland

Maryland is a good place to work and live but not to reitre. Our new governor has raised taxes to unbelievable levels and still plans to raise them more. You have a friend in PA which is a good state to retire to. Seems to me you should look into working in PA. If not try Virginia, West Virginia.

We are run by brain-challenged socialist democrats. The summers are hot and humid, we have hurricanes. The police are revenue raisers for the state or after-the-fact crime crowd control. MD will take your money and send it to PG and Balto. counties for the lazy non-working class bum excuse makers who don't work. Mogo county is like little Kali, every piece of crap legislation starts there and spreads throughout the state like a contagious disease. The people here are generally rude and they drive like nuts. We have virus laden ticks and mosquitoes and franken fish in our waters.

I am soooo excited!!!! haha So start looking in PA, huh? If all is so bad, then why are you still there?

I am thinking of relocting to Maryland from Dallas,Texas (big change I know) and am looking for a little help. It is for personal reasons and do plan on taking my time. I have been to a few towns in the state an just feel in love. It also helps that I have a very close friend is southern PA. I am a 32yr old female and just looking for any first-hand information on a couple smaller cities or towns.

Do you have a Texas accent? Were you thinking about moving to northern Md. or So. Md. Wherever you go to stay away from Waldorf:lmao:

Because I haven't learned to say, Maryland is utopia, you're gonna love it here! without feeling my nose grow a little longer. :ohwell:

I have a nice house on a quiet road near the Chesapeake Bay . Wanna buy it?

Wow! You caught on pretty quick. You're going to see a lot of MD bashing here yet you won't hear much about people actaully taking action and leaving MD. That basically says that MD can't be all bad.

My family and I just moved back to Maryland after being gone for 9 years in the Army. We wanted to be around family again and my husbands job is in DC. What I dont like about being back in Maryland is a lot of people are just angry and unhappy. I want to go up to them and ask why. Our third day back in Maryland I got flipped the bird, so I smiled. Life is too short and we have lost alot of good soldiers, smile and enjoy life. Anyways, my point is move where your heart tells you and enjoy your time. Any place you go there will always have some kind of bad points to it, but there are also good ones too. Its a matter of how you look at it! Good luck!

"hookem"...I was born and raised in Maryland and lived here 95% of my life and I love it!! I left back in 2006 to go live in MI and missed it sooo much that I came back ( didn't just miss MD, but people as well). I think it's a great place to live and raise a family. Sure the taxes have gone to 6%, but that's what I was paying up in MI...kinda used to it now. but let me say this...welcome to MD if that is where you want to be.

We are looking to move out of here. My husband says where, I said I don't care as long as its not here! I said take me to Alaska anywhere is better than here! You seriously do not want to move here. There is nothing to do but go to bars or eat. This place is friggen boring and not to mention the crime! OMG! I can't tell you how bad it has gotten here since I bought this house here 12yrs. ago! I do know that come hell or high water I will be gone from here before my daughter gets to high school because there is no way on God's green earth that she is going to Great Mills High school! Trust me, you don't want to be here! :howdy:

That is why I am starting to look now. I moved to AZ (the part that actually gets snow) for about 3 months and cried for 83 of those days then came back to Texas!!! I was in the middle of now where!!! I want to find a place that I can make a home in, my home. Don't get me wrong, I will always be Texan it's just a thing with us, but I just want to find somewhere else I can enjoy as much!

See, that is still vauge... I can tell you don't move to South Dallas, there is nothing to do and you will be robbed getting out of your car (day or night)!!! The kids have to go thru metal detcs. before entering the school and are offered drugs on and off campus all day!
Move to Plano or McKinney (which is north Dallas) they have one of the lowest crime rates in the nation and the best school systems in the state!!! All within 40 miles of each other, one on each side of Down Town Dallas

:howdy: Born and raised in PG County here. Went to Skin Dark High school :lmao:

MD has turned into total crap from my point of view. Charles and St. Marys is better than PG bet they are catching up very fast. I am thinking about hitting the hills of WV or maybe going out west. I've never really went anywhere too far from here just know this is not the place I want to spend the rest of my life. The only thing keeping me here now is my Family. I would love to find a good enough excuse to finally pack up and go.
