LOL well, Toppick, you may be a fat, bloated waste of human cellulose, but you have some of my respect. You signed your Karma. So.... I'll give you that much. Kudos......
Fat?....

I moved to Southern MD from Houston last year. Manners and customer service around here is terrible. I get pretty bored here, but I don't hunt or fish. I miss Houston, and can't wait to move back.
The biggest thing is to know why your moving and what to expect. Even though I visited here before hand it wasn't until I moved that I realized how rural it is here. Yea there are things only an hour away, but who wants to travel an hour to go to a mall that is gangsta, or two hours to have a decent movie theater. If you like clubs, bars, and live music not much of that goes on here in nice places compared to Dallas.
There are some really good points too but they just not are good for me. Im sure I will get some bad karma telling me to "go away douchebag" as I always seem to get. I would suggest renting for a few months wherever you move too, to make sure you like it.
Bad manners and service were brought here...........

We are run by brain-challenged socialist democrats. The summers are hot and humid, we have hurricanes. The police are revenue raisers for the state or after-the-fact crime crowd control. MD will take your money and send it to PG and Balto. counties for the lazy non-working class bum excuse makers who don't work. Mogo county is like little Kali, every piece of crap legislation starts there and spreads throughout the state like a contagious disease. The people here are generally rude and they drive like nuts. We have virus laden ticks and mosquitoes and franken fish in our waters.
Listen to Sharon. She tells it like it is. I am still here because of work but will be out of here in a very few years. We are considering PA or just moving south to the Carolinas. Maryland is full of unhappy, rude people. Too many democrats, too.
That's not fair to us old natives, who still say yes'mam and yes'sir without even thinking about the etiquittes of a Naval Base....![]()

Southern PA, but like I said b4, anything is better compared to where I am now.. lolWhere in PA is your friend? Could make a difference in which part of Maryland you look at.

I guess it is good to hear from someone who "came" from here. No offense to Abilene, I went to college there, but a little different! I guess the biggest thing to get use to will be everything not at the tip of my fingers! i have a mall 1-10 minutes from my house, and another just another 10 min away. In fact you name it and I can find it in just a matter of minutes. then again, that is what I am trying to get away from... AHHHHHH people being everywhere all the time. Now that I have talked myself in a circle!

SOMD's face has changed dramatically since BRAC aligned NAVAIR and blew new life into PAX River, the expanded OPS at Andrew's and the consolidation of DIA at Bolling AFB. This has brought a WAVE of transient people into our (almost said my) beloved SOMD.
Sharon is right - people here are rude, but I would bet if we could see where they "hale" from it would not be from here.
Toppick - yes, I still say my yes 'mam and yes 'sir regardless of their age - my son does as well... you can pretty much tell who is from here and who is not just by watching and listening!
You need to PM Patch Tuesday for the latest on real estate 'round here.........![]()
Patch Tuesday?
oh yes, will miss tex-mex, oh wow!!!I should my gf is much happier here most of the time. She hated the crowds and how busy it was. She does miss the conveniences though. She hates the cold weather here, but is dealing. I want to move back within 5 years, and she plans on coming with me
Oh also if you move down this way you will be amazed at how many Mexican restaurants there are in a 20 mile area, Pizza huts too. No good Tex-Mex that I have found though.
