A/C, power windows and all the othere do-dads are cool. Just never could get used to the loss of control that comes with an automatic

And they made you watch gory films. Ours was called "Red Asphalt."
"Blood on the Highway" and it was always kids goofing in the scenes leading up to the wreck, but it was old folks in the twisted metal

...where everything was stick; tractors, dump trucks, delivery trucks and I got to drive everything. I remember when we got the first Cub Cadet Hydrostat tranny lawnmower...tore up some yard with that...then tore up the tran!

Sticks still fun once in awhile but, I don't miss it.

Let's not forget all the wonderful "head" shops!!

Oh I remember that, Baltimore, College Park, Ellicott City too. Black light poster, love beads, bells, incense, guys with long hair, acid rock.

Air Travel...
No jetways, flight attendents were Stewardesses, wore suits and served meals. Smoking on the plane, and the "skys were indeed friendly"!

For a Sunday outing the family would drive to the Philly airport and just watch the planes come in and take off. Every once in a while we'd get to actually see one of those newfangled planes that had jet engines.
